....Did Trump lose because of his mishandling of C***D, his personality, his failure on health care, or just a general lack of achievements?

Trump, contrary to common right wing media hogwash, hasn’t done much for this country. His mishandling of the C***d19 is simply an extension of his mishandling of every single thing that fell under his jurisdiction. If you take Fox News and Twitter out - meaning take the propaganda machines out of the equation and let the work itself speak; there’s nothing there. Absolutely nothing.

Steel jobs will come back
Coal jobs will come back
I will ban all Muslims from entering the US
I will repeal ACA and replace it with something so cheap and so amazing
The wall, Mexico will build it
Trade wars are so easy to win
We will so much you will be tired of winning

Meanwhile, he spent most of his time golfing and tweeting and watching TV and alienating every single ally we had on the global world stage.

All Trump cult v**ed for Trump because it’s Trump. Not because he did anything for them.

Armed service-men and service-women: demeaned and made fun of;
Veterans: demeaned and made fun of;
R****ts and Xenophobes: applauded, encouraged and front-lined; armed and ready;
King worshippers: found their kings and started their chants;
Evangelicals: sold their souls and started Trump worshipping;

The man divided this country in half; destroyed as many of the Republic’s institutions as he can - though not by himself. For a certain group that was waiting for somebody like Trump to come along like the people wait the second coming of Christ is to be credited for that - Trump was on the train for the v**es and the applause.

C***d19 is a sign of what happens when you act like a fool in 21st century. This is no longer 17th century. Even the people at the turn of 20th century were smarter than the populace that refuses to listen to science and logic and instead go along with rhetoric and foaming around the mouth speeches.

I wonder how many more signs these people are waiting. Frogs to fall from the sky?

Trump lost because more than half this country still believes in the ideals that made this the greatest nation on earth.

The rest can learn from history

"Never let yourself be persuaded that any one Great Man, any one leader, is necessary to the salvation of America. When America consists of one leader and 158 million followers, it will no longer be America."

Nope - he achieved a remarkable amount considering the democrats fought every step of the way - MAGA goes against their grain. And he handled C***D as well as possible.

"DR. ANTHONY F***I: Well, we’ve never had a threat like this and the coordinated response has been, there are a number of adjectives to describe it. Impressive, I think is one of them.

I mean, we’re talking about all-hands on-deck is that I, as one of many people on a team, I’m not the only person, since the beginning that we even recognized what this was. I have been dev****g almost full time on this — almost full time.

I’m down at the White House virtually every day with the Taskforce. I’m connected by phone throughout the day and into the night and when I say night, I’m talking twelve, one, two in the morning. I’m not the only one. There’s a whole group of us that are doing that. It’s every single day.

So I can’t imagine that that under any circumstances that anybody could be doing more. I mean, obviously, we’re fighting a formidable enemy — this v***s. This v***s is a serious issue here."

People who v**ed for trump v**ed to stick the USA in the butt. They weren't looking for improvements, they were looking for a ruckus and the more chaotic trump became, the better they loved it. A very small minority saw trump as an avenue to pursue personal agendas, such as mitch, who wants to control the judicial branch.

Trump was elected because a majority of citizens threw their hands in the air and opted out, disliking BOTH candidates. This year they corrected their mistake.

Your oft repeated list is inaccurate at the very least. full of outright lies.. promoted by trump himself..

The whole world knows how inept and counterproductive trump has been concerning, not only the c***d v***s but in every part of running the nation. a misguided experiment gone even worse then expected..

EWS FEATURE 05 OCTOBER 2020
UPDATE 07 OCTOBER 2020
How Trump damaged science — and why it could take decades to recover
The US president’s actions have exacerbated the p******c that has k**led more than 200,000 people in the United States, rolled back environmental and public-health regulations and undermined science and scientific institutions. Some of the harm could be permanent.

Trump’s actions — and those of his staff and supporters — should come as no surprise. Over the past eight months, the president of the United States has lied about the dangers posed by the c****av***s and undermined efforts to contain it; he even admitted in an interview to purposefully misrepresenting the v***l threat early in the p******c. Trump has belittled masks and social-distancing requirements while encouraging people to protest against lockdown rules aimed at stopping disease t***smission. His administration has undermined, suppressed and censored government scientists working to study the v***s and reduce its harm. And his appointees have made political tools out of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), ordering the agencies to put out inaccurate information, issue ill-advised health guidance, and tout unproven and potentially harmful treatments for C****-**.

Crist on a bike,,

the economy was a continuation of President Obama work.. find one thing trump did that changed the direction of our economy..

The tax bill of 2017 which the middle class will start paying for in Jan 2021... was a gift without conditions to the very rich and himself..

no business investment met hopes, or wishes.. why because the money was mostly used for stock buy backs, a left over from Reagans sacking of our long range economy, until and unless that law is remanded, we are very unlikely to see proper investment in the Economy by this type of tax gifts to the rich..

Do you understand what you income figure is telling you?? while 80% of growth went to the very rich , that income in included to find an average which also includes the very lowest minimum wage jobs.. it does not bother to show that the vastly greatest increase when to the very wealthiest people of the nation.. find some more inclusive facts.. and reflect on the republican caused stagnation extending back to the late 70s..

You should also realize that trump had no clue at all about trade agreements.. American corporations and wants have always been the driving force of these agreements and while he made little change , he did drive trade to leave US firms for other nations.. we lost our biggest Agriculture customer , possible for the long term..

while I am not going to bother with the rest of your long C & P, the closing line is Ludacris to the extreme.. while he separated families and locked up children who still after month and years have not been united with family..
then he claims credit for programs championed by Amy Klobachar and other truly committed members of our government as something of his own..

Nothing to trump have ever been good for anyone but him and his friends and nothing of his own making has ever been successful at any level..

"Crist on a bike,," I understand your frustration at having your butt handed to you on a regular basis.

At least until the p******c, the president’s unconventional policy got unprecedented results.

The sky was the limit on economic policy.
Karl W. Smith is a Bloomberg Opinion columnist. He was formerly vice president for federal policy at the Tax Foundation and assistant professor of economics at the University of North Carolina. He is also co-founder of the economics blog Modeled Behavior.
Joe Biden has argued that President Donald Trump didn’t so much build a strong economy as inherit one. It’s good line — but it ignores the successes, at least before the p******c, of Trump’s unconventional policy. If Biden is elected president, he should continue Trump’s economic approach rather than returning to Barack Obama’s.
Between December 2009 and December 2016, the unemployment rate dropped 5.2 percentage points, from 9.9% to 4.7%. By December 2019, it had fallen another 1.2 percentage points, to 3.5%. A cursory look at those numbers might lead you to believe that the improvement under Trump was at best a continuation of a trend that began nearly a decade earlier.
It’s necessary to place those numbers in context. By 2016, officials in the Treasury Department and at the Federal Reserve had concluded that the economy was at full employment and that further improvement in the labor market was unlikely. This was in line with the Congressional Budget Office’s guidance that further declines in the unemployment rate would push the economy beyond its sustainable capacity.
Once in office, Trump ignored this consensus. He implemented a program of tax cuts, spending increases and unprecedented pressure on the Fed to cut interest rates to zero and keep them there. Trump’s goal of 3% growth was derided as delusional, while a bipartisan chorus of commentators declared his policies reckless and irresponsible.
They were anything but. Not only did the unemployment rate continue to fall, but the percentage of Americans aged 25 to 54 either employed or looking for a job saw its first sustained rise since the late 1980s. This inflection point changed the character of the labor market.
In 2016, real median household income was $62,898, just $257 above its level in 1999. Over the next three years it grew almost $6,000, to $68,703. That’s perhaps why, despite the p******c, 56% of U.S. v**ers polled last month said their families were better off today than they were four years ago.
Family Income Has Soared Under Trump

The key to that number is the breadth of Trump’s expansionary agenda. Republican presidents have typically focused on tax cuts, particularly for businesses, with the idea that they will encourage an increase in investment and wages. Democrats have tended to seek spending increases, often with the hope that they will stimulate the overall economy and increase job growth. Presidents of both parties have traditionally left interest-rate policy to the Fed.
Trump broke the mold by aggressively battling on all three fronts. He also sought to increase jobs in manufacturing and agriculture by pursuing a series of trade wars. (Most economists, from across the ideological spectrum, think this policy backfired.) Nonetheless, if one had to choose between Trump’s three good policies plus trade wars, or the more modest economic policies of his predecessors, the easy choice is Trump.
Ideally, a Biden administration — which looks increasingly likely — would keep Trump’s three growth-enhancing policies and jettison his trade initiatives. What is crucial, however, is that it not believe its own campaign rhetoric and be satisfied with merely returning to the policies of the Obama administration. Trump proved that an aggressive growth strategy can improve the fortunes of the average American family. That strategy should continue.

That number swells to 145 dead in three years if the 58 people k**led by Stephen Paddock during the Las Vegas massacre in October 2017 are added in.
