Well of course you are right. Willie ‘dated’ her for a couple of years and recognized her ‘ability’. I’ll go along with that.

It may be as simple as this, they were two people who were attracted to each other and dated, they were both adults. They were both already politically involved, he appointed her, while at a time he admired her as a person is quite normal. There's nothing here on how she will do her job as VP. She's got bigger balls then most men I know. LOL I would've loved to see her debate the president, it would've been a slam dunk.
