Maybe. The Iranians, of course, are blaming Israel.

However, the Iranians are suffering under a strained economy due to heavy sanctions, C***d lock downs, and relatively high unemployment. Plus the fact that a significant number of Iranians have opposed the totalitarian theocracy almost since it began - the Green Revolution in 2009 - and now the emerging militants of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI), an Iranian opposition group led by expatriates (these guys are getting pissed).

Moreover, the fastest growing Christian church in the world is in Iran. The Sheep Among Wolves movement is drawing thousands to Christianity. The name was inspired by Matthew 10:16 - “Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves.”

This movement owns no property, no buildings, has no central leadership, and is predominantly led by women, both within the country and without. Frontier Alliance International (FAI) Studios has produced two full length documentaries detailing the revival that is taking place in Iran. The documentary tells the story of the Iranian Muslims who are leading “a quiet but mass exodus out of Islam and bowing their knees to the Jewish Messiah—with kindled affection toward the Jewish people.” Sheep Among Wolves is receiving support from Christians all over the world.

Islam is fading in Iran. JihadWatch, MEMRI, and others have reported Iranians are Losing Their Islamic Religion.

The point is, things in Iran are not by any stretch copacetic, lots of very angry people in Iran.

Coulda been Israelis who snuffed the scientist, coulda been someone else.

For the same reason I'm against any conquered people having their own nation....

It sets a bad precedent....

You planning on giving back Hawaii to the natives??? Or a couple of states to the Sioux??? Perhaps Iroquois should reclaim new York???

Don't get me wrong... I think it's great that the Z*****ts have reconquered part of Israel... But they don't get my support... I'll feel just as fine if the Palestinians or any other groups reconquer it... Also without my support...

I'm not huge on hypocrisy...

Is there any nation, country or kingdom on earth that was never conquered by someone? How about Canada? Who did the Brits and the French conquer to bring that part of North America under European rule? Did Canada not become a commonwealth of the British Empire? How about China? Or Germany or even Britain?

The Jews entered the land of Canaan 35 centuries ago, there has been a Jewish presence there ever since. There never was a Palestinian people inhabiting that region. The so-called Palestinians are a result of European influence that brought nationalism to the region. The Palestinians as they are recognized today were given that distinction in 1920.

If you are a Christian and cannot accept the importance of Israel in God's plan, then who is the hypocrite?
