There is no such thing as gun control..................except in fantasy land. Only law abiding citizens obey gun laws, which defeats the purpose of having gun control laws. Try to confiscate guns and watch them disappear almost immediately, hidden in places they'd never be found.....................hidden by those same law abiding citizens.

Hint: making laws to control criminal behavior is as daft as drafting laws requiring fish to recognize territorial boundaries in oceans.

In theory your comment about ‘the propensity for violence’ sounds good - however, the human condition is such that controlling violent behavior with incarceration is probably the most humane method.
