Removing troops is a world of difference away from ending a war. We can leave with our tails tucked between our legs and begin rewriting history to prove that the 1000's of dead were a worthy sacrifice, or we could finally get serious and destroy the taliban once and for all.

Know what happens when politicians run a war? Take a look at Korea 1950, Vietnam 1970, Afghanistan 2001 and every war since the 1990 gulf war. BTW, know why we kicked ass in that war? We had a President who knew war first hand, who created an awesome alliance BEFORE the war began and kept congress off of Stormin' Normans back.

I've gotta wonder what pentagon advisers are saying, actually I don't, they are against this but trump is doing it to screw Biden up when he redeploys the presence needed to do the jobs they were doing. Pulling these people that are a skeleton presence anyway down has no purpose or value except trump pissing on another country or two.

He still has it in mind to attack Iranian nuclear facilities before he goes, sort of like hitting a hornet's nest in Biden's living room as he leaves. This is why he fired the people who would flat have refused.
