How can there have been 158.8 million b****ts cast in this e******n, when as of Oct 30, there were 47,106,084 registered Democrats, 35,041,482 registered Republicans,  652,261 registered Libertarians, 240,222 registered Green Party, 129,556 registered Constitution Party, 49,758 registered Working Families Party, and 9,004 registered Reform Party.

Looking at other numbers. US population is 330 million people. This includes children, felons, non-citizen residents, i******s, and other people who are either ineligible to v**e or who choose not to v**e. Isn't the figure of 158 million casting a v**e on Nov 3rd or earlier just a tad high?

In many states you do not referrer with a party affiliation.

Better look at all the red states where we just accepted their v**e tallies, it isn't happening in the states under scrutiny. When dems questioned red states in 2016 there were 6900 precincts with overcounts, the GOP response was "oops, our bad, we'll subtract the overs equally between dems and republicans according to the percentage cast.

One needs to register with a party in order to v**e???

Why spend time courting independent v**ers if they can't v**e???

I do not understand what a referrer designation is. Please clarify. I am registered as Unaffiliated. I get requests from both Dem and Rep for donations. Shows me I am right not to be part of either as all they want is my money.

The t***h is that those over b****ts were cast by people who really, really, really wanted to be v**ers but for reasons beyond their control could not be v**ers. They did their civic duty though and cast their v**es as all good people should.

Referrer? If you mean register, you absolutely register with a party affiliation. In the primaries you can only v**e for the candidates of your own party.

Revisionist history. In the States where the count was questioned, recounts were done. But they soon stopped calling for recounts when everywhere a recount occurred the numbers went up for Trump. Also, the GOP was not in charge of running the e******ns. So to say they chose to subtract the over v**es evenly or not, doesn't even make sense.

An over v**e b****t may be eliminated, depending on the State's v****g laws. But this has nothing to do with any b****ts but the ones which are over v**ed.

Independent Party v**ers can v**e. In the general e******n, anf registered v**er can v**e for any candidate or write in a candidate. In the primaries either they can v**e for the Independent candidates, if it is a closed primary; or for any candidate if in one of the States with open primaries. I think there are 17 States with open primaries.

Does that not explain your numbers in the OP??

You do not have to register to a party. Their are independents and non-affiliated v**ers who are neither dems or republican v**ers. Also, several states allow registration up to the day if e******n.

The numbers I have seen is that v**er turnout is around 78% of the potential e*******l population. Since v**es are still being counted, the final tally has not been completed, and the v**er turnout has not been finalized. Wait to see the final results.
