In recent history, there has not been a time with such division and mistrust among American citizens as right now. While we still await the results of the p**********l e******n, and the findings of several lawsuits pertaining to widespread v***r f***d, Americans are at odds with one another over their core beliefs and values.

The LA Times recently turned over their letters page to Trump v**ers in an attempt to bridge the divide that is currently sweeping the nation. The results were interesting, with one particular letter standing out.

Deborah McMicking wrote a scathing piece criticizing former First Lady Michelle Obama for her comments pertaining to the 72.7 million v**ers who cast their b****ts for President Donald Trump.

Michelle Obama described Trump v**ers as people who v**ed for h**e, division and lies.

Now as Joe Biden is calling for unity, McMicking took Obama to task for her hypocritical and h**eful words towards half the country. Deborah McMicking was one of many Trump supporters who wrote a piece in the letters page of the LA Times.

Here's what she had to say via the LA Times:

"It is nice to hear Joe Biden call for unity in America and for people to stop treating their opponents as enemies while his supporters are dancing with joy in front of storefronts that were boarded up in case his side lost.

Let’s start the call for unity with Michelle Obama. Last week she ripped into Trump’s 72.7 million v**ers as people who v**ed for h**e, division and lies. She is a great example of the disdain that 72.7 million people have put up with from elitists like her.

Hollywood, Silicon Valley and most of Biden’s party have mocked Trump’s 72.7 million v**ers as r****ts, misogynists, w***e s*********ts and more — this, while some Trump supporters have been violently attacked for wearing “Make America Great Again” hats.

It will take more than Biden briefly asking for respect between Republicans and Democrats for his side to listen to different opinions."

As should be expected, some users on Twitter are already crying foul over the LA Times' decision to give a voice to the other side.

They have doubled down on much of the same rhetoric that Mrs. Obama used, describing Trump v**ers as h**eful r****ts who don't believe in human rights and should never be given a platform to speak...

What a tolerant and loving group of people these liberals are... They always say and do the very things they accuse the rest of us of.

Still, many others see this move by the LA Times as a step in the right direction.

Bridging the divide will be a tall order, but if that gap gets any wider, we're all in trouble.
