I have Been a fan of nuclear for years I'm agenst the way there designed each one diferent so they cost more.

France uses the same design making thrm much cheaper to build and the parts are interchangeable making repairs cheaper and easier to do.

China has a number of nuclear reactors as well... A good source of energy... Very dependable...

The fuel supply and price is the deal breaker, our nuclear reserves are gone, and countries like china can afford to pay wh**ever for fuel. Canada has rejected nuclear projects because the price projections blew the price of the power out of the realm of reality.

No point in going into any given project if the real numbers don't work, the US lobby is famous for demanding guarantees for private investors that they will pay for cost overruns (that will inevitably happen). It makes no sense for government to subsidize any given energy because it has no true cost savings otherwise.

Uranium on federal lands should be contracted at a cost based price to where the US has a cheap supply of the fuel, rather than a world market driven price.

The models for wind and solar are working just fine, subsidize them

I think he's right. After Fukushima, I kept waiting to hear of the big fish die-off in the oceans. It never made the news if it happened. And I never heard of humans dying who ate the fish from the ocean either. Nuclear seems pretty safe to me. The Navy has been using it in our submarines for decades now. I might suggest only Christians and Jews be allowed to operate them. Because Dems and RINOs just aren't trustworthy enough any longer. They don't love America enough to do the right things and they are pretty much liars who condone bad and evil behavior. If, OPP is a fair example of them. I don't want anyone running or working in a nuclear plant that's Godless or anti-God. Unless another source that's a cleaner and safer option
comes along.

I agree nuclear is better. But our fearless leaders are morons. Did you know that the head guys at 2 of our local plants are mideast workers? One from Egypt, one from Iran. Zion and the one off Arsenal road and I55. Wouldn't you think if these things are risky, we'd treat them like it and have Americans with security clearances in charge?😳😖

Doggone HRC selling off our uranium😖
As far as solar, it is unworkable for many parts of the country. I think "wind farms" are a blight. They will be one of those things with unforeseen consequences. Maybe okay in the middle of the desert. Of course that would be a good place for solar, too....

One of my sons is a very successful biomedical engineer. When he studied engineering at UW Madison he learned that from a cost/benefit perspective bio-deisel is by far the best energy source. Also very simple and adaptable. Just not glamorous enough to capture much attention.
