I can't go that far, but I've had several highly trained K-9 partners and cow dogs, I'd take a bullet for. Their 100% loyal and true blue. Much easier to love than people older than six. IMHO.

The love is unconditional

I know what you mean. I trust mine more than I trust people, except where an unguarded steak is concerned.

Kickaha any dog I ever had, even as a kid, could take food from my mouth and I never ever had to worry about being bit.

I know, they make great companions.

Bet that woke you up quick,

I was still awake. It confused me she was going nuts and sounding scared but my other two weren't doing anything. That's when I went out to investigate. One time it was a toad and another time it was a cricket. At one time we took in an old yellow lab. He was a good boy. He did k**l one rooster but it wasn't his fault. He saw me on the other side of the barn and ran full speed through the barn to get to me. Unfortunately for the rooster, he happened to walk right in front of the barn door as the dog charged through, running him over. The rooster didn't stand a chance in a collision with a 100 pound lab. That lab also had a roommate in his dog house one winter. We had a wild rabbit decide that it was good place to spend cold winter nights.

Any idea how you got it?

I think I was too skinny and the bones were obvious.
I never thought I was too skinny.
Didn't have anorexia or anything like that.

We never had children which explains a lot.

Yes, it does. I knew something was being omitted. The same for me, I can relate to that. My first wife never told me she couldn't have any more children. She omitted that fact. I never would have married her if I had known. I always wanted children. She had three children so I assumed she could have more, not with a total hysterectomy. After my dad and my wife, I have some serious trust issues. Only the people you truly love can truly hurt you. It's better to have a dog, they are trustworthy, they just don't live long enough. Now I understand better, thank you for sharing that!

Sorry to hear that. I think many of us have trust issues, some n more than others. I am remind of Isaac Asimov's writing in his Foundation series about trust. A political leader was working with a younger member of the opposition on a serious issue. The leader's aide questioned how he could trust his opponent. The leader replied you can trust the actions of the man as long as you remain the best path to his goals. I try to keep it in mind when I start to feel a little paranoid.
Of course, it is also said that even paranoids have enemies. And then this last word of sage advice, when everybody is out to get you, paranoia makes sense.
Have a good day, my friend.

Thank you, I try. There's too many things going on, that you need to break away or it will destroy you. You also have to prioritize your worries. I worry about the e******n and all the talk of irregularities and what a Biden presidency would do to the country. But that takes a backseat to my wife's health right now.

I'm sorry, it sounds really serious. I guess there is a way to discuss things on private messages. If you would care to carry on the conversation that way, let me know and I'll gladly switch over.
