The Three Pillars of Trumpism

The concept of 'Trumpism' is just to put a name to a set of issues that have been endemic to the country since its founding, and probably centuries prior to that. These issues have been simmering under the radar for two centuries or more in the United States.
These issues are mainly three: loss of racial identity, loss of cultural identity, and loss of white male supremacy. Any one of these is d******e and volatile … the three lumped together are a toxic brew that could eventually fracture the fabric of America beyond repair.
Loss of racial identity is endemic to the human race. "What is not like me must be repelled or eliminated." This predates s***ery and is something that all of us are guilty of. Many suppress the outward symptoms, but unconsciously apply this principle in our daily lives both publicly and privately. Nevertheless it exists in all of us to some degree, even if we don't believe that we possess it and get defensive when we have to admit it.
Loss of white male identity is likewise inherent in America. It has been a part of the power structure since before the founding of the country, and we brought it over from England. For our society, it stems from the patriarchal social norms that have existed since before medieval times. Almost all religions mandate that the man is the head of the family, which probably stems from the male Neanderthal being the provider of food for the family and tribe. As for the 'white' part of this equation, it goes back to the same period, when the racial component (as in the last paragraph) was one of the paramount factors in associations and tribal politics in the earliest days of humanity.
Loss of cultural identity is the third pillar of Trumpism. This is the loss of social values that have been traditional for generations; loss of the homogeneity of their neighborhoods; loss of their religiously-based moral values as norms for their society.
Any violation of one of these three pillars generates resentment and grievance in some part of the society. Taken collectively, they reinforce each other and bubble to the surface of the society as what we sometimes call "Trumpism". Trump is not responsible for these factors but he succeeded in ripping the scabs off of these these traits of human nature in a way that allowed them to become open wounds.
Those who harbor these pillars as being ones that they agree with will mostly never admit to them. They either consciously or unconsciously feel that their adherence to them will label them with negative social stigma within their social structure. Nobody these days wants to be labelled as a 'r****t', 'w***e s*********t', 'misogynist', or 'bigot'. Yet almost all of us to some extent do privately agree with one or more of these pillars.
The d******e nature of these pillars is corrosive to civil society. It assigns people into tribes of similar shared values, racial characteristics, and religion. We've been lucky as a nation for over two hundred years that we've had shared ideals that served to unite us more than the pillars sought to divide us. Those ideals and norms have now been ripped up and discarded, allowing the pillars to become predominant.
Whether we survive this ugly division of our society is an open question. Time will tell, but history provides us with precedent that would indicate that it will be difficult to mend these wounds, and they will eventually fester until they k**l the patient if left untended and treated.

The concept of 'Trumpism' is just to put a name to... (show quote)

''Those who harbor these pillars as being ones that they agree with will mostly never admit to them. ''

I admit to be concerned about all three... And to my willingness to support, defend, and uphold them...

Label me anything you want...

I can't even begin to fathom how someone could NOT want to support these pillars...

Racial identity, Cultural heritage, Family/Community structure... These are not things to be ashamed of...

I don't think that I ever said I was a fan of m**************m ... I'm pointing out the perils of having a divided society pitting these two factions against each other. I doubt the divide can or will be bridged, given the intractability of both sides in this case. 'The immovable object meets the irresistible force', etc.

You are a gullible subject of those who wish to brainwash our citizens with the delusional egalitarian v***s. To remind you of this: our laws have been written with the concept of providing the individual with the freedom of opportunity to work and survive to actualize his/her own desires to own land and to work at a legal job without the fear of being harmed. When you pledge allegiance to the f**g you are acknowledging that we are a Republic, meaning, we live in a country where the rule of law takes residence over the rule of a dictator. You have been in a state that h**es the "rule of law." The governor and the mayor of Portland are dictators.

OK, then all the racial minorities and the L***Q community should be afforded all those same rights that you rightly state. That is not the case, as well you know. ALL means ALL according to your statement, unless ALL means only those that you agree with. Can you resolve this discrepancy?

Who is “you”. Can you quote who you are responding to?

<sigh> Here we go again. If you are opening your business doors to the general public, that means the whole shebang, not just the ones you agree with. If you are hiring and you are open to the public, you can't discriminate in who you hire.
If you are directly religiously affiliated as part of the religious hierarchy, you probably could discriminate on the basis of your religious beliefs, but if you are a privately held company that sells to the public, you can't discriminate based on religious beliefs, nor impose your religious beliefs on your employees. We're back to the cake baker, aren't we? Are the products produced for the normal sale different from those that can be contracted for? One is general product related, and the other is provided on contract. What's the difference? They are both offered to the general public on the same basis.
Religious discrimination (in addition to all other forms of discrimination) happens all the time, although it is never overtly stated as such, being couched in all kinds of other reasons for performing that discrimination.
Yes, you have the freedom to seek, but you also should also be afforded the fair chance at getting that which you seek.
