To all you conservative Christians ... you have successfully culminated forty years of appointing ultra-conservative judges in the federal court system. You have done this with the appointment of this last judge which provides a 6-3 conservative majority which will probably do the following:
Abolish a******n on the federal level and return it to the states to legislate, resulting in significantly restricting the ability of primarily low-income and minority women to practice this ultimate form of birth control.
Enable v**er suppression of minorities and their v****g rights so as to preserve the white power structure at all levels of government.
Allow gerrymandering to continue, and e******ns to be r****d by the disqualification of b****ts of primarily minority and low-income v**ers.
Abolish any protections for the L***Q community including discrimination in housing and employment, and reversing the previous decision that legalized gay marriage.
Totally destroy any hope of e******y in affordable health care by the quashing of the Affordable Care act. Cause millions to lose their health care, and allow insurance companies to discriminate against people with pre-existing conditions. Additionally, repeal Social Security and Medicare while we're at it.
Inflict the religious morality of a minority of vocal proponents on the entire society, even when there are dissenting views and majorities that disagree. Let's go back to the idea of Sunday closing laws, prohibition of alcohol and drugs, and mandatory church attendance. Yes, that's an exaggeration, but not by much.
Abolish the rights of workers to unionize and restricting the ability of unions to both finance and bargain with employers for worker safety and wage fairness.
Endorse the rollbacks of environmental and workplace safety regulations that will cost many thousands of lives and livelihoods over the years.
Insure that corporations will be able to discriminate against minorities and fire them for basically no reason.
Insure that housing discrimination based on race, ethnicity, or sexual orientation can continue unabated.

I'm sure there are more, but it sure looks to me like we're heading to being a theocracy in practice, if not in actual policy. In terms of imposing moral doctrine on the population, it puts right in league with any number of Islamic states, such as Afghanistan, Iran and Saudi Arabia. Different religion, same result.
All of this as a result of a single Supreme Court appointment. I'm sure you're happy now, but it will result in oppression that even the most diehard evangelical will be unhappy with. Going back to the non-existent era of "Leave it to Beaver" and June Cleaver isn't possible, even though there are many who would endorse such a rollback.
You may celebrate now, but I'd bet that it won't last long.

I'm certain that your mileage will vary with this one.

You have some nerve speaking on behalf of someone you know nothing about. How do you know how these Justices will v**e? The answer is: you don't.

To speculate like you do in your post just makes what is really going on crystal clear: It's called "sour grapes", and you are a classic, textbook example of the meaning of that phrase.

You would look like a much bigger person if you really meant your f**e "congratulations" instead of looking like someone with a serious case of TDS. I suggest you go into your safe space and suck and egg.

You are parroting preconceived and highly prejudiced notions about the quality, integrity, character, education and judicial experience of conservative/Christian judges and with unfounded, baseless assumptions, you are prophesying on the consequences of such people sitting on the court benches.

Atheism surely has its self-contradictions and its logical fallacies.

Let's see... We will celebrate the possible culmination of the murder of some 60 million unborn humans, aka "a woman's right to choose." Perhaps choosing birth control of a less final nature.
Preserving the white power structure and suppressing minority v**es by requiring photo ID. Most of the supposedly disenfranchised "minorities" receive government benefits which require ID sufficient for v**er ID, so what's your REAL problem?
Gerrymandering was invented by Democrats, and has been used by them far more than Republicans. You didn't seem to have any problems with it when accrued to Liberal advantage.
Getting rid of Obamacare, and it's lies? Good riddance. One of Trump's main goals is coverage of pre-existing conditions and affordable prescriptions.
The following is so patently ridiculous that I just copied and pasted it.
"Inflict the religious morality of a minority of vocal proponents on the entire society, even when there are dissenting views and majorities that disagree. The only reply I can make to this collection of lies and misrepresentations is I have GOT to meet your drug dealer; he has got some stuff that makes reality a dim dream.
Get in touch when you make it back to the real world.

Democracy tends to work this way... Groups form and work to promote an agenda... If they can attain power then their agenda tends to be pushed through...

Still, I can't help but think that it is the individual states that should make decisions for their e*****rates... Rather than the federal government... As the US is such a diverse mosaic of cultures and people..

Quote:
Abolish a******n on the federal level and return it to the states to legislate, resulting in significantly restricting the ability of primarily low-income and minority women to practice this ultimate form of birth control.

Sounds good to me... Individual states will implement laws that reflect the views of their e*****rate... So we can expect California and new York to continue advocating a******n, while other states will limit it to varying degrees...

I'm not sure why this would affect minority women more... But I understand that low income women may not have the means to travel to a state that allows a******n...

Quote:
Enable v**er suppression of minorities and their v****g rights so as to preserve the white power structure at all levels of government.

I am having trouble finding anything that would support this... Is it the old v**er ID is r****t argument???

Or do you believe it will lead to a return of I'm Crow laws???

Quote:
Allow gerrymandering to continue, and e******ns to be r****d by the disqualification of b****ts of primarily minority and low-income v**ers.

How can b****ts be disqualified??? This is new information for me... Not much I can comment on...

I doubt very much this will happen... Although they may make a distinction between civil unions and religious marriage...

Healthcare should be left to individual states... It's that whole diverse populations thing...

Private insurance companies should be free to discriminate against whoever they want... If people want healthcare, let them work for it... It's a privilege, not a right...

Once again, this is literally how democracy works... And it's also hyperbole...

If you have a dissenting view, afeel like something is not right, form a group, attain power, and change things...

Abolish the rights of workers to unionize and restricting the ability of unions to both finance and bargain with employers for worker safety and wage fairness.

I am not a fan of unions... They tend to start out well, then grow into something that was never intended... One reason I decided not to return to Canada to teach was the teacher's union in my province....

Endorse the rollbacks of environmental and workplace safety regulations that will cost many thousands of lives and livelihoods over the years.

Supposition... But I wonder how many lives are lost each year to in enforced border laws??? That's the problem... People only want to enforce the laws that they want enforced...

Quote:
Insure that corporations will be able to discriminate against minorities and fire them for basically no reason.

Absolutely... My businessbusiness... I should be allowed to hire, promote, aand fire anyone I want to... The government has no right to force my hand on these issues...

Insure that housing discrimination based on race, ethnicity, or sexual orientation can continue unabated.

Same thing.... My real estate, my rules... If I don't want to rent to someone, that is my business...

No... Emphatically not... None of those nations are democratic or allow any say in the formation of laws... The US has e******ns for a reason... And they have consequences...

No... All of this is the result of the American e*****rate putting certain politicians into power to further certain political goals...

Of course the celebration won't last long... The next time the Dems have a win I'll get to read a similar thread by someone on the right...

As I said, your mileage will certainly vary, and we agree to disagree. Yes, it's hyperbolic, but sometimes its necessary to get your point across. If I merely used WWE terminology to make my points, I'd get even less traction than I do with what I do write.

You have it all wrong. The confirmation of Supreme Court justice Amy Barrett has given you more freedoms than you had when Villainous RBG was on the court. Just think, now you have the freedom to distort the t***h, tell all your lies, and defame every conservative in the U.S. and no one will threaten you, harass you, throw you in prison or out your name, phone number and home address. L*****t judges want to restrict freedom ifof speech. You should be thanking God that Justice Barrett has nullified RBG's promoting of the murdering of infant babies. Think about how many young lives may be saved now thanks to a great anti-murder justice. Thank God for real Catholics and not f**e ones like Joe Bribem and Nanny Peeloosli who love murdering babies.

Are democrats shooting themselves in the foot?
Donโ€™t they say that they are the party that โ€œlovesโ€ the b****s?
Arenโ€™t they k*****g future democrat v**ers?
