Word for word this psalm is a reflection of all that is going on in the world today. The nations rage and the rulers plot but the time will come when they will anger the Lord our God to the point where He will not relent and their destruction will fall on them.
Father God, Brother Jesus, your children are in distress. Rulers of this world seek our destruction and the shame of your holy name. We are doing our best to stand fast and by your grace and strength we will prevail. How long o Lord, how long? I pray your blessing on each of us that wherever we go today and whomever we encounter may the grace of your Holy Spirit shine thru us. To you ,O Lord our love and fidelity now and forever. Amen

Heavenly Father, dear Jesus, I ask that You have the Holy Spirit bless me with words and thoughts that are pleasing to You.

It is sad to feel alone, to feel betrayed. That is how I feel, sadly, our President is betraying us. He is striving to destroy this Nation by ignoring the laws and the Constitution he pledged to uphold and obey. We can only pray, You will come upon him, and bring a Damascus Road event into his life.

Honorable men pledged their lives and their fortunes to make this a land where You would reign. Your Holy Word was taught in the schools, to accompany the Word You put in the hearts of your believers. Your Word has long since been removed from the schools. Now they are working hard to remove You from every facet of our lives. Grow stronger in the hearts of good men, O Lord, we need You.

You send angels to protect those who are weak, the women, children, and the elderly. Christians are being driven from their homes in Iraq. How frightened, betrayed by their country, how lonely they must feel, but they have You, O Lord, strengthen them and keep them. I ask that you bless the Kurds who have given safe sanctuary to Christians. Lead the Christians to safety Lord, send Your squad of angels to protect them.

Absalom turned the people from David toward himself. O Lord, do not let anyone turn Your followers from You. Keep us ever focused on the welfare of Israel, Your land, Your people. We know You hear our prayers, and we can rely on Your timely conviction of those who hope to destroy our trust in You.

Father God, Brother Jesus, the evil one grows stronger in our land and in the world. Your children are hounded on all sides and in many places losing their lives, their homes, their families, but our faith remains firm in you O Lord! My nation, that once revered your holy name now knows you not. Your name has been hidden from the young ones it has become a laughing stock to those who rule us. We can no longer invoke your name in prayer from the street corners. The name of Jesus has become accursed.
But there are still many of us who will not be shaken. Just as your heavenly army gathered to take your prophet Elijah home we pray you send them now to avenge your name and help your children once again to stand tall.
Your children Israel stand against the evil hordes alone, even my nation no longer is ally. Strengthen them in their time of distress, give them victory over their enemies.
Father, bless the prayer warriors of this thread who have banned together to pray for our nation and Israel, hear us O Lord and come to our aid.

Prudence dictates that when man fails, we must call upon God for help. When Man solves a problem he solves it partly or he solves it on the perspective he views the problem. When God solves problems he solves not only the immediate problem, but other problems that may occur with in the solution.

Facing our nation and threatening our freedom is an evil that was never thought of before. We, in this generation, have attempted by our means, to solve the crisis and stop the wickedness of that evil. We have been blocked on every avenue and we have been attacked within that blockade.

As a result of this wickedness and evil, and due to the blockade and stonewalling, I feel it is time to bring our concerns to the table of the Lord. I feel if we as a group on daily basis exercise our communication with the Lord, our God, and place all our concerns in His hands, through faith He will send signs and answer our prayers.

Now we are of different faiths, but Prayer is not. Prayer is the greatest power we have against evil. I will declare that I am a Roman Catholic, however these prayers are actually Jewish prayers, I am posting once a day a single Psalm of David, from the book of the Bible called Psalms.

I will also begin the post with an ancient ritual, "In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit", then I will state the Psalm, then end the prayer with "In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Amen"

At this point after I have stated the Psalm of the day, I invite all of you to write a prayer in a post based upon the Idea of the Psalm.

Please no politics, or theology, just prayers, it is my intention to storm heaven with faithful prayers of our fears and concerns seeking help from the Almighty to help us bring us closer to Him, and to unite us, through His Grace, and Help us take back our inheritance that our relatives fought and died for. Therefore, this Prayer effort goes beyond the Church, Christianity, and all faiths. This is the Children of God, talking with God, seeking comfort and assistance in this time of trouble. This is not a religious effort, this is an effort of the people laying their concerns before God.

Now some prayers written here may be traditional be cause we are the Children of God, living in a God-fearing nation. We in our perspective cultures pray to the same God. Therefore, laying our concerns in public, using the Guide of King David is justified. However, being a child of the Eighties, I do believe to make it more personal, go ahead and lay your petitions as your heart tells you to, and add them to this prayer.

Remember, Jesus Christ and His Father, the God, Almighty, does listen to tears from the heart. So if you feel to share stories of the Lord working in your life. Feel free to do so. Do not feel ashamed, for the Lord knows what's in your heart and is curious to hear from you. Although He knows what you are asking for, He loves when His children ask Him. We are God's most loved creatures in all creation, He created us in His Image, and teaches us His Wisdom every day of our lives.

If you wish to praise Him, by all means do it. If you wish to request help do it. Here you are free to talk to God as you wish, and no shame will be tolerated. Thank you.

A Psalm of David, "The Way of the Righteous and the End of the Ungodly

Blessed is the man
Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,
Nor stands in the path of sinners,
Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;
But his delight is in the law of the Lord,
And in His law he meditates day and night.
