I'm guessing there would have to be another Democratic National Convention. Normally, to become the p**********l nominee, a candidate typically has to win a majority of delegates, which is then confirmed through a v**e of the delegates at a national convention. (If no candidate gets the majority of a party's delegates during the primaries and caucuses, convention delegates choose the nominee.) So I suspect that if Biden died or couldn't run suddenly, the DNC delegates would get together and choose a nominee. Since they have a little more than a week do do so right now....I wonder if they could delay a general e******n? Trump's term ends on January 20, so it would be interesting to see how they would resolve something like this before then. I suspect the Supreme Court would be involved....but that's another kettle of fish! It sure would be major chaos.

There would be no reason to delay the e******n. The Dem's could select a candidate in 5 minutes to replace Joe and since Kamala was chosen for VP she should get the nod and let her pick a running mate. There internal problem is not our problem although I'm sure they'd cry that it should be.
