Sen. Ron Johnson is calling on FBI Director Christopher Wray to confirm or deny details regarding a laptop said to have belonged to Democratic p**********l nominee Joe Biden’s son H****r B***n.

Johnson, R-Wis., said in a letter to Wray obtained by Fox News that a whistleblower contacted his committee on September 24, claiming to possess a laptop that H****r B***n left at his business, and that he had turned it over to the FBI. Johnson noted that staff immediately asked the FBI to confirm certain details in order to validate the claim, but the bureau said they would not confirm or deny any of the information included in their request.

“The FBI has a duty to inform us. If they believe this was maybe Russian disinformation, they should give us a defensive briefing,” Johnson told “Sunday Morning Futures.” “If, for example, they also believe that what information this whistleblower gave us is fraudulent, that would also be a crime, and FBI should tell us that.”

Johnson is chair of the Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs.

Johnson said his questions about what the FBI knew about H****r B***n and when they knew it speaks to a “larger issue.”

“Why did they sit on it? Are they covering up just because H****r B***n might be engaged in things that also maybe should have been investigated and possibly prosecuted? Do we have two systems of justice: one for Democrats and one for Republicans? One for the well-connected versus one for the rest of the Americans?” he asked.

Johnson added that he found the Biden campaign’s response to claims that alleged H****r B***n’s emails show his father met with a Burisma executive “pretty odd.”

“The Biden campaign, all they’ve done to refute or deny any of this is to say that the meeting one of these emails revealed that Vice President Biden had with the No. 3 in control of Burisma never showed up on his official calendar,” Johnson said. “There’s all kinds of meetings that didn’t show up on his official calendar. This wouldn’t surprise me if this one didn’t.”

“I have a responsibility to validate and verify the contents of any information produced to my committee,” Johnson said in his letter. “The committee must know if it receives information that could be fraudulent or not accurate.”

Johnson mentioned the possibility that the information could be the result of foreign e******n i**********e, in which case a defensive briefing would be appropriate. He also acknowledged that if the whistleblower knowingly provided false information, that could be a crime.

“For these reasons, the committee must know whether the FBI has assessed the validity of materials the whistleblower has provided, and what, if any, actions the FBI has taken since obtaining this information,” Johnson continued.

The letter included a series of questions Johnson would like the FBI to answer regarding the laptop, including whether the FBI does indeed “possess material from H****r B***n’s laptop,” and, if so, when and how they acquired it, whether the FBI has determined whether the records on the computer are genuine or were altered at all, whether they determined whether the records were authored by H****r B***n, or if there is evidence that the computer had been hacked.

Johnson asked the FBI to respond with answers to his questions no later than October 22.

Fox News reached out to the FBI for comment but the bureau did not immediately respond.

Johnson’s letter appears to indicate that the laptop in question is the same one referenced in a recent New York Post report about emails said to be H****r B***n’s. Both the Post report and Johnson’s letter referred to a laptop that was in the possession of a Delaware computer repair store.

Johnson also noted in his letter that the whistleblower said they turned over the laptop to the FBI in response to a grand jury subpoena, which was also reported by the Post. In his letter, Johnson asked Wray to confirm whether the FBI did indeed issue such a subpoena, and why.

Christopher Wray is worst then James Comey, Trump was duped into putting him the control of the FBI.

He is one of them. Trump needs to demote him and find someone else. Isn’t that a president’s prerogative? Never liked him from the time he was chosen to fill Comey’s slot.

He’s a member of the highest order of the “dismal swamp!”

That's pretty stupid as an anti-Trump talking point, since even if he knew Wray's swamp pedigree Trump wouldn't have hired someone whom he knew would act on behalf of his opposition.

Sometimes it's better to think something through before you post, so as not to appear, to those who are smarter than you, as an i***t.

The FBI never told anyone that they had H****r B***n's laptop. You'd think that they would start an investigation AGAINST H****r B***n and his father. But no, Wussy Wray is looking out for his pals in the Obama Clinton Cabal.
At 11PM on November 3rd, Trump should fire both Bush Boy Barr and Wussy Wray to kick off his ree******n celebration.

I read they had it since September.
That's when the shop owner informed them.
They picked it up in December, probably to squash the Biden crookedness.

I hope you all see it only took Obama 8 years to basically screw up the FBI, the CIA, and the Justice department.

Biden if elected can finish the job, well it would be Harris, my mistake. She will k**l drilling and fracking so we will be dependent on Sudi oil and your gas will cost 6.00 plus a gallon. Our drugs are made in China and that will not change with her in power. Big taxes on corporations will move them out of the country, or end them.
Most people do not understand that taxing a Corp, just makes what they make go up, they never pay it them self.

I found the shop owner had made copies of the disk before he gave it to the FBI, it's easy if you know how and send one copy to Rudy Giulini. So the FBI has to look and report.

The FBI has done this threatening stuff in the past. The doctor who first looked a JFK stated he was shot in the
front of his neck, the FBI told him if he told anyone he would disappear in the desert. The FBI has the words
EQUAL JUSTICE FOR ALL on their building. sic

It's a shame that they do that and get away with it.
