Black L***s M****r Global Network Foundation (B*M Global Network Foundation) is elated to announce that TIME has named our co-founders Patrisse Cullors, Alicia Garza, and Opal Tometi to the 2020 TIME100, its annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world. This esteemed accomplishment amplifies and celebrates the hard work, commitment, and dedication of our trailblazing leaders in the everyday fight against inequalities and injustices throughout the world. The full list and related tributes appear in the October 5, 2020 issue of TIME, available on newsstands on Friday, September 25, and now at time.com/time100.
This year, for the first time, TIME also unveiled its annual list in an hour-long primetime broadcast special on ABC featuring a special mention of every honoree on the list. The TIME100 list, now in its seventeenth year, recognizes the activism, innovation, and achievements of the world’s most influential leaders.
“When we started B*M it was never to be recognized for our work, but it was to build a movement that works each day to build a more equitable life for all Black lives across the globe. To have this honor from TIME is incredibly humbling for each of us. Alicia, Opal and I stand on the shoulders of our ancestors’ work that has helped to guide our path to liberation, justice, and e******y. We dedicate ourselves wholeheartedly to continue their work. This honor is for every young Black person who looks like us. We hope our work will inspire them to always fight — no matter the cost — for what is right,” said Patrisse Cullors, Executive Director of Black L***s M****rs.
As we celebrate this momentous occasion of our founders being featured on TIME100, we are charged with continuing to build a movement that brings us all to the front. We have identified several ways for our supporters to help us to continue this movement through three simple calls to action:
1. First, by ensuring that you, your family, friends, and the entire community will wear a MASK and V**E early, or v**e by mail. On E******n Day, November 3, 2020, v**e up and down the b****t. Check your status and register today here.
2. Secondly, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s lasting wish was that her seat on the nation’s highest court not be filled until after a new president is sworn in. We must reach out to our US Senators to ensure her voice is heard and her request fulfilled. Contact your US Senators here.
3. Lastly, we are calling on Joe Biden and Donald Trump no matter who is inaugurated on January 20, 2021, to make a commitment to sign the BREATHE Act into law within the first 100 days of their administration. Read more on the BREATHE Act proposal here.
B*M Global Network Foundation celebrates this phenomenal achievement of our SHEroes in the struggle for being named to TIME100. We stand with them united to continue to support their vision of justice and e******y for all Black lives.

Triumph with Trump

Hitler, Mao and Stalin were some of the most influential people in their time. Influential and good are two different things.
