Ipsos poll: China is the happiest nation on Earth
Jennifer Harper PandaGuides

Amid global turmoil and uncertainty, a massive new Ipsos poll of 19,516 adults in 27 countries reveals the happiest nation on the planet.

“The happiness leader in 2020 is China, where 93% say they are happy, up 11 percentage points from last year,” says the poll analysis, released Monday.

“The only country showing a significant increase in happiness since 2011 is China,” the analysis notes.

Netherlands is ranked second at 87%, followed by Saudi Arabia (80%), France and Canada, both at 78%. The U.S. ranked 11th on the list, with 70% of respondents indicating they are happy. On average, 63% of the global population agree.

“The incidence of happiness shows significant shifts in many countries: it has declined by eight percentage points or more in Peru, Chile, Mexico, India, the U.S., Australia, Canada, and Spain, while it has increased by more than eight percentage points in China, Russia, Malaysia, and Argentina,” Ipsos wrote.

The pollster measured 29 “drivers” of happiness, which range from physical health and well-being to family relations, personal safety, living conditions and meaningful employment. Social media, incidentally, brought the world population the least happiness, cited by just 11%.

In the last decade, the incidence of happiness has decreased sharply. The percentage of those saying they are happy has fallen by 14 percentage points globally. It is down by five percentage points or more in 17 out of 23 countries surveyed both years. Mexico, Turkey, South Africa, Argentina, Spain and India show drops of more than 20 points.

I find it a bit suspicious that the c*******t country of China that blessed us with the mysterious “China” v***s is claiming that 93% of their countrymen are Happy......up 11% from last year! Right! I guess their country being ravaged by the v***s made them 11% more happy this year!🤯

Is anyone from the free world buying this propaganda BS? LOL!

Did they survey North Korea? If they did and found anyone saying they were less than giddy with happiness......................they'd not be able to question them twice, except by seance.

Not sure

Communication with North Korean is rather difficult at the best of times...

Okay-define happiness. I am not always what you would call "happy", but I am joyful and confident that God is good all the time-all the time, God is good. And that is where my joy comes from. I am content, though I have physical problems, and am not rich by any measure-I know what it is to be rich, since I was there once, and I know what it is to be destitute-been there, as well. Now I am somewhere in between, and grateful to be here, grateful to be alive though severely challenged in some areas, and I have the peace of knowing that no one can take my eternity from me, I depend on no government to provide for me, though God may use the government to provide some things, such as freedom to not say I am happy if I am not, freedom to complain about that same government, freedom to worship my God in public, but if that is taken from me, it is OK, because they cannot take away my worship of Him in my heart. And they cannot take my eternity with Him in Heaven. No one can do that. So, I would say, I, for one, in the USA, am happy.
