I'll answer you with what Carol Swain, Professor of Political Science and Law at Prager University in Vanderbilt (who is an African-American woman to respect), writes in her article: The Uncomfortable T***h about the Democratic Party, just in that part of which you have referenced.----- According to Swain: The Klan was a military force serving the interests of the Democratic Party. President Woodrow Wilson, a Democrat, shared many views with the Klan. He re-segregated many federal agencies and even screened the first movie ever seen in the White House: the r****t movie "The Birth of a Nation," originally titled "The Clansman." A few decades later, the only serious Congressional opposition to the historic Civil Rights Act of 1964 came from Democrats. The true champion of civil rights, conveniently forgotten, was the Republican Senator from Illinois Everett McKinley Dirksen, Senate Minority Leader in 1964, who introduced the bill, stirring heaven and earth to get it passed, facing a record filibustering. --- Eighty percent of Republicans in Congress supported the bill. Less than 70 percent of Democrats did. Democratic senators leaked the bill for 57 days, until Republicans mustered the few additional v**es needed to break the deadlock. Johnson understood that it was convenient to act differently and said, "These black people, they are getting very optimistic these days and that is a problem for us since they now have something that they never had before, the political momentum to back up their optimism. " ----------- The following can be read in Ronald Kessler's book "Inside the White House" on page 33: During a trip [on the Air Force One plane], Johnson was arguing his proposed civil rights law with two governors. "That was the reason he pushed the bill," said McMillan, who was present during the conversation. “Not because he wanted e******y for everyone. Their attitudes are just a ploy to win the v**e of African-Americans. Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer and other Democratic politicians can be seen kneeling to pray for G****e F***d, to make it appear that they support African-Americans, trying to erase the terrible impression that Joe Biden's words made: “Well, I'll tell you something, if you have a problem deciding if you are with me or with Trump, then you are not black ", which seems to coin Johnson’s words. I can tell you much more, but I don't like to waste my time; I will still tell you that both parties decades ago had conservative and liberal wings. The Republican Party has maintained theirs and that is why today we see that the liberals within that party are called RINO (Republican in name only); whereas in the Democratic Party the conservatives have disappeared and the liberals are in the process of extinction, creating the Walk Away, giving way to the l*****ts: socialists, progressives or c*******ts, that are worse than r****ts, because they are against everything that is not subjected to them, no matter if you are black,white, yellow, red or brown, they are totalitarians and want you as a s***e of their new elite.
