OK. We can start there. He was mistaken. He ran into a wall made up of democrat obstructionism, deep state resistance, and the total lack of support, or even honesty, of the press. From day one he was besieged and attacked unrelentingly. He decided (or was convinced by his advisors) that getting the economy up and running took priority over healthcare, and he did not have the political capital to do both at once. He has gradually worn down that wall, but the bad guys are still obstructing every step of the way, even after four years, so it has slowed things down. These, by the way, are my educated opinions. This one puzzles me, too. I do not really know what he intended when the President (Candidate at the time, I think) said that. I have read the explanation that the Mexican government IS arguably paying for the wall indirectly with the new trade deal. Well, maybe, I guess. That seems a little thin to me. However, in my judgement of a lie, it includes a deliberate intent to deceive by telling something that is known to be false. I suspect that the President (candidate) had something in mind that did not work out, though that is strictly a guess on my part. So I would say he was wrong, rather than telling a lie. But that is my opinion.

I will give you that one. All of the medical experts have been giving contradictory advice and predictions ever since the p******c started. Even today, almost a year into it, and you can find many reputable experts saying masks are necessary, and a lot of others insisting that they are of little use, and can do harm. Something that simple and they can not agree. Everything in this p******c is that way, form how it is t***smitted to where it came from. Did Trump listen to experts that proved to be wrong? Unquestionably. Did Fausci? Absolutely. Even the CDC has repeatedly had to change their minds on various aspects of the p******c. Not once or twice, but over and over again. In October of 2020, who can we trust to give us the correct scoop? And who can the President trust? No one. The President seems to have a tendency to speak when he should wait and see, but that does not make him a liar.
Again, you seem to be counting being wrong as being a lie. In your opinion, are they are the same thing?
