Let us make a leadership test and test our two candidates. Shall we? Lets start with the definition of a leader:

a Leader is a person who leads: such as
A. a person who directs a military force or unit leaders of the army
B. a person who has commanding authority or influence

The dictionary lists more definitions of leader, but these are the two that apply here. So the first part of the test, both candidates live up to this test. Donald Trump is the President of the United States and Joe Biden was Senator and Vice President so they do qualify as leaders.

Now lets look at leadership qualities:

According to Google, the five Essential Qualities of a good leader are:
1. Clarity- A good leader is clear and concise at all times- there is no question of their vision and what needs to be accomplished.
2. Decisiveness- Once they have made up their mind, they do not hesitate to commit- it’s all hands-on deck. They show great consistency with their decisions rarely backing out or changing their minds unless it is absolutely necessary. Being decisive shows commitment, a quality extremely high in demand for a great leader.
3. Courage. Boldness is both something you can develop and something that is blessed as a virtue. Although some people are naturally more fearless than others, practicing how to be fearless- or at least project fearlessness- is a completely doable task, one may have achieved in order to fulfill their role as an amazing leader.
4. Passion. There’s nothing more inspirational than seeing someone who cares about what they do—the best leaders exhibit boundless energy and passion for what they do….As long as you are passionate about what you know, or care about, it’ll shine through and people will follow.
5. Humility. While confidence is an extremely attractive trait in leaders, there’s nothing like a humble character for creating a lovable persona. Great leaders admit when they are wrong and take criticism as an opportunity for growth.

Now that we have two definitions of a leader and we have Google’s opinion on what makes a good leader lets examine Donald Trump and Joe Biden.
The incumbent always goes first:
1. Is Donald Trump clear and concise?
2. Is Donald Trump committed?
3. Does Donald Trump have the Courage to portray himself without fear?
4. Is Donald Trump passionate in his job duties as President?
5. Is Donald Trump humble?

Then the challenger:
1. Is Joe Biden clear and concise?
2. Is Joe Biden committed?
3. Does Joe Biden have the Courage to portray himself without fear?
4. Is Joe Biden passionate in his job duties as President?
5. Is Joe Biden humble?

Apply this test.

Now lets take our test by using real evidence known from each of our two candidates. Starting with our challenger Joe Biden:

According to Wikipedia:

He was elected to the U.S. Senate from Delaware in 1972, becoming the sixth-youngest senator in American history. Biden was a longtime member and eventually chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. He opposed the Gulf War in 1991 but supported the expansion of the NATO alliance into Eastern Europe and its intervention in the Yugoslav Wars of the 1990s. He supported the resolution authorizing the Iraq War in 2002 but opposed the surge of U.S. troops in 2007. He also served as chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee from 1987 to 1995, dealing with issues related to drug policy, crime prevention, and civil liberties. Biden led the efforts to pass the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act and the Violence Against Women Act and oversaw the contentious U.S. Supreme Court nominations of Robert Bork and Clarence Thomas. Biden ran unsuccessfully for the Democratic p**********l nomination in 1988 and 2008.

Biden was reelected six times to the U.S. Senate and was the fourth-most senior senator when he resigned after winning the vice presidency alongside Barack Obama in the 2008 p**********l e******n. Obama and Biden were reelected in 2012. As Vice President, Biden oversaw infrastructure spending in 2009 to counteract the Great Recession. His negotiations with congressional Republicans helped the Obama administration pass legislation including the 2010 Tax Relief Act, which resolved a taxation deadlock; the Budget Control Act of 2011, which resolved a debt ceiling crisis; and the American Taxpayer Relief Act of 2012, which addressed the impending fiscal cliff. In foreign policy, Biden led the efforts to pass the United States–Russia New START treaty; supported military intervention in Libya and helped formulate U.S. policy toward Iraq through the withdrawal of U.S. troops in 2011. Following the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, Biden led the Gun Violence Task Force, created to address the causes of gun violence in the United States.
