It is the left that is being political. When they start legislating from the bench (either on the right or left), it is wrong and they are overstepping their boundaries. The job of the Supreme Court is to rule on the constitutionality of the cases brought to the court and to provide a unified understanding of the law across all jurisdictions. They are to decide based on OUR Constitution, not on how other countries do things. Hopefully, whomever is confirmed as the new justice will make their decisions based on the Constitution and not on feelings.
