I'm 72 and play twice a week with a bunch of seniors here in RI. It's alive and well here in RI.

A few years ago we moved from the ranch into town (population about 850). I saw a sign up about the upcoming pickleball season. Apparently it's very popular. I haven't checked it out yet because the schedule was in the evening and that's when I work. I'll have to check it out if it's an activity that you can take part in as a seasoned citizen (I refuse to admit to getting older, just ask my wife).

You definitely should give it a try. It's both fun, and social, while getting in some moderate exercise at the same time.

How competitive is it? I have one fault (my wife thinks I have more) and it's that I tend to get a little too competitive. It's not like I h**e to lose, I just h**e somebody else winning.
