“A liberal paradise would be a place where everybody has guaranteed employment, free comprehensive healthcare, free education, free food, free housing, free clothing, free utilities, and only law enforcement has guns.” And believe it or not, such a place does indeed exist, It’s called prison.” - Sheriff Joe Arpaio Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office

every states taxes are to high. public servants are paid like they work in the private sector. and that's because we let the unions get involved in the public serves sector. I think that everyone in public serves should have to take a 5-25 present cut in pay 30-50k,5% up to 100k 10% up to 150k 15% up to 200k 20% anyone over 200k a25% cut in pay plus bar all unions from public serves work. unless you just love to keep paying higher and higher taxes.

There was a time when Unions were necessary. The have out lived there usefulness. They need to go. I was a member of 4 separate Unions. As i look back they did absolutely nothing but take the money I earned .

Unions were a deterrent to company practices that would hurt the union members. I guess they still are.

My husband started out in a factory, became active in the union, went to school and ended up on the other side of the table. Since he had been active in the union, anytime a policy was discusses that involved the union members, he was asked, "What will the union do." Your unions may have done far more good than you know about.

I worked for the state for 20 years. We did not need a union. We had a merit system; and if you did your job, you got to keep it, even when the administration changed. If you wanted to fire someone, you could; but you had to have a good reason and be prepared to prove it.

Yes that is the way it should be. Why should a person have to pay to have a job?

Working men did far better for their families when a large portion of our workforce was unionized. The decline in our middle class almost exactly mirrors the decline in union membership in this country. The fastest way to increase wealth for working Americans is to encourage unionization in all sectors of the economy and get rid of anti working family laws like the Taft Hartley act and so called right to work laws. When unions have power workers have power.

You my friend are a clueless buffoon and a profane buffoon at that. What on earth is going on in your head that causes you to think about performing oral sex on the Pope when you read a post about labor history? pretty sick if you ask me. As far as your half baked nonsense about "c****e unions" do you know who Lech Walesa is? He formed the Solidarity indipendant trade union that brought down the c*******t government in Poland.
