They filmed scenes that took place on the Silk Road - On the Silk Road!!!

Brutal...

Imagine if they filmed a show that involved s***ery in the Southern States - in the Southern States!!!!

Horrifying...

I was more disgusted regarding the fact that they STOPPED filming in Georgia due to their pro-life legislation.
I have read from numerous sources about the Chinese genocidal actions against a Muslim sect, and others, in China. If even half of what I've read is true, China should be censured and sanctions placed against them by the UN.

I've read a lot of it as well...

But I'm skeptical... As are the Chinese Muslims I know personally...

UN sanctions Like those have ever done anything

The world, including America, just doesn't truly care about human rights... It's sad...

This is some funny stuff, I donโ€™t know where you come up with this crap but in this instance it is a hoot. Walt Disney was an arch conservative, he produced numerous blatantly r****t films such as Song of the South, was a notorious union buster and turned many over to HUAC. It is great to see right wing nutters turn on one of their own.

I donโ€™t think that the films made by Walt Disney were meant to be r****t. The Disney stuff now is by some corporation that is very politically correct I guess. My personal objection is that Hollywoodland uses stories by long dead authors whose copy write has expired then gets to copywrite the movie and sue you if you make a copy. The ancestors of the Brothers Grimm, Rudyard Kipling, Milne, and et alia, should be getting a royalty for all those movies made from their works.

The people do, tho. At least some. If China were to be censured and sanctioned by all UN members it would mean something, but that will never happen. Seems the UN isn't very big on human rights anyhow, based on their appointments in recent years. Or they define human differently perhaps...

I had never heard that. Nonetheless, Disney is today a company who is known for putting out content for children, and this article shows how truly reprehensible and "woke" the organization has become. I'm totally disgusted.

I've read about that. If you look carefully you'll find lots of pornographic depictions in most Disney children films. Mike

The UN has never been big on human rights... Nor have Canada, the US, or any other western nations...

It's just something we pay lip service to...

And use to smear our opponents...

How long has America held a seat on the human rights Council??? What good did that do???

Canada had a seat while we were still ripping native kids away from their families and giving them into the tender care of the Catholic Church

D********g, no?

My mom grew up among the Ojibwa Nation.. And later dated a man from them for about a decade...
His father told the stories... How he was taken from his family... Put in a church school... Beaten if he spoke his own language... This would have been in the 40s and 50s I believe...

So much was lost...

The Ojibwa Nation is still strong... And that man raised 5 children... Who were all good citizens... Married a Catholic woman too... But never set foot in a church after his wedding...

Like I said... Human rights have never been a priority...

(And people wonder why China doesn't bother me)

Wow. I knew that happened here in the late 19th and very early 20th centuries, but not the 40s and 50s. Native Americans from several tribes did occupy old Nike sites and other abandoned government facilities in 67 and 68. My friends and I used to get groceries and stuff for them cuz if they left they wouldn't get back in. We talked to a lot of them through the fences (troops wouldn't let us in either) very interesting their stories! I was glad when some of their people became sharp lawyers and started using their property not under US law and built casinos, etc. The cash influx seemed to very much help the tribes.

Casinos have been very profitable for some tribes... I know the Ojibwa Nation operates number of them...

More importantly, they have kept the family and community structures strong... A proud people...

Funny though...

My mom asked my grandma about it and she came clean... Ten she asked who her father really was...

My grandma: Well Leslie, that's kind of hard to say... There's a number of options๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
