No one on earth saw it coming, so how could anyone prepare for it nearly three years in advance?

State governments and their respective health departments are responsible for preparing their states for emergency contingencies such as a v***l outbreak.

The state health departments license physicians, nurses, and all other medical professionals. State HDs issue permits for construction, upgrades, and expansions of medical facilities within their state. State HDs regulate these medical facilities, this includes the work of medical departments at any university or college in the state. The state HDs issue preparedness directives for all kinds of contingencies. They are supposed to anyway.

The federal Dept of HHS and CDC issues directives and recommendations common to all states, but it does not dictate specifics to any individual state. Unless requested by the governor.

For example, climate, culture, geography, traditions and the needs of the people themselves vary considerably across the nation and these have a direct effect on existing health conditions within the state which, in turn, determine medical treatments and pr********n for contingencies in that particular environment.

Conditions in Washington state are far different in these respects than are those in Florida or New York.

This is why the attempt to lockdown the entire nation is such a farce.

I believe that Trump has done a very good job of handling this whole disaster! I truly wish he had stuck to his initial gut feelings & had opened the economy back-up on Easter! Yes, there would have been cases and there would have been deaths, but we had those anyway! Sweden NEVER shut down and their economy was left well intact!

We are just NOW finding out by recent reports from the CDC that there have been less than 10,000 deaths from the c***dv***s alone! Less than in any NORMAL ANNUAL FLU CYCLE in the USA! That 94% of deaths were of people who had 2 or MORE other medical conditions, which c*********d their health and eventual outcome!

I think Trump initially suspected that this was just another flu-like illness, he even made attempts to find and recommend reasonable treatments for it that the average person could access and take advantage of! But the Media and liberals CONSTANTLY lambasted anything he said or recommended! F***i was a c*********d scientist & should NEVER have become the figurehead that he was! Much POLITICAL pressure was applied in a precarious situation and some very BAD MISTAKES were made all around!

The WHO put out all sorts of misleading information and had a LARGE part in whipping this into to a worldwide problem which should NEVER have become as bad as it did!
