Apparently, you have no clue what the masks are for, so let me explain... The masks are meant to slow down the spread of the v***s by obstructing the airflow from your mouth and nose, thereby decreasing the range over which the disease can pass. Got that so far? Now, social distance is also recommended to help other people remain outside that range.
Apparently, your precious mask failed to prevent the media from blowing smoke up your ass.
The idea that everyone should wear a mask because wearing a mask reduces the chance that the wearer will spread the v***s assumes everyone is infected.
I haven't worn a mask since this insanity began. Even with the draconian lock-down measures our governor put in place, I refuse to wear one. Only one business I frequent strictly enforces the "No mask, no service" requirement, so I abide by the foolishness of it so I can buy a quart of milk.
CDC does not recommend that people who are well wear a facemask to protect themselves from respiratory diseases, including C****-**. Facemasks should be used by people who show symptoms of C****-** to help prevent the spread of the disease to others. The use of facemasks is also crucial for health workers and people who are taking care of someone in close settings (at home or in a health care facility)The World Health Organization (WHO) backs up the CDC’s claims of the ineffectiveness of mask usage if one is healthy.
“If you are healthy, you only need to wear a mask if you are taking care of a person with suspected 2019-nCoV infection,” WHO said in their “Advice for the Public” section of their site. Again, the use of facemasks is confirmed to only truly be helpful for healthcare workers. What genius determined that a "social distance" of 6 feet is effective in reducing the spread?
Medical professionals around the world have long known that in a breeze of 2 mph, such as that from a fan or A/C, an airborne v***s can travel a far as 6 meters (19 feet) in 5 seconds. In a breeze of 9 mph, an airborne v***s can travel the same distance in 1.5 seconds.
Since C****-** is highly selective in its attack on human respiratory and i****e s****ms, most of the deaths attributed to the v***s are among those with pre-existing health conditions such as respiratory and heart disease and diabetes. IOW, the older you are, especially if you suffer pre-existing health problems, the more susceptible you are to the lethal effects of C****-**.
The CDC recently published its study of hospitalization and deaths by age groups using 18 to 29 year olds as a comparison group. For example, hospitalization of those 30 to 39 are 2X higher and deaths are 4X higher than the CG. Hospitalization of those 50 to 64 are 4X higher and deaths are 30X higher than the CG.
65-74 years: hospitalization - 5x higher, deaths 90x higher
75-84 years: hospitalization - 8x higher, deaths 220x higher
85+ years: hospitalization - 13x higher, deaths 630x higher
Then there is this:

If you’re human, you’ll do. C****-** has been different, particularly when it comes to age. The disease has shown a special animus for older people, with those 65-plus considered at especially high risk for hospitalization and death, and those 18 and below catching a semblance of an epidemiological break. Though a small share of adolescents have suffered severe cases, most who contract the disease in that age cohort are likelier to experience milder symptoms or none at all.
But if C****-** is sparing most kids’ bodies, it’s not being so kind to their minds. Nobody is immune to the stress that comes with a p******c and related quarantining. Children, however, may be at particular risk. Living in a universe that is already out of their control, they can become especially shaken when the verities they count on to give the world order–the rituals in their lives, the very day-to-dayness of living–get blown to bits. So I ask you, are you parroting media hype in support of slandering president Trump? Or, are you actually concerned about saving human lives?
