Which of these N**I f*****t actions and characteristics fit Trump or any other person or group?

*Do all you can to convince people to trust in the infallibility of the news so later it can be used to get the masses to do anything you want.

*Encourage and/or finance mobs to take to the streets engaging in threatening behavior, vandalism, l**ting, burning, and assaults while chanting slogans of h**e.

*Pick a target for people to loudly revile and focus their h**e on.

*Use political correctness to direct and control not only what people say, but eventually what they think.

*Encourage vigorous and even violent censorship of any competing, dissenting, and undesirable thought provoking ideas.

*Destroy historical symbols of the past. Especially any heroes.

*Provide free health care for all (until some are identified as undesirable and denied, and the undesirable list grows)

*Encourage a******ns and sterilizations for those deemed less desirable.

*Free education controlled by the central government. The schools and youth groups used to indoctrinate the young.

*Using the entertainment industry to further the message of indoctrination.

Imposing draconian controls over businesses which dictate what business can exist. And approved businesses are told what product or service they can provide, what suppliers they must use, how much of the product they can or must produce, who they can or cannot hire, who they can sell the product or service to, how much if ant profit they can keep, and any portion of the business can be confiscated at any time for little to no reason. And still be required to pay taxes.

Encourage children and others to report any undesirable behavior of others to the authorities.

Praise for socialism in speeches and interviews and the promise that despite previous problems with socialism, the problems were due to not doing it right. But they know how to do it right.

[Often the top of many people's list is nationalism. But both the National Socialists and the patriots of England, France, and the USA rode a wave of nationalism. So it is not simply a f*****t or N**I characteristic.]

See this is a major problem that plagues the conservates until this very day. From 1900 until I would say about 1990 the conservatives had absolute power worldwide. With that being said, that very power destroyed them. But since the conservatives in the majority of them has a conscience they began to listen to the liberals and the new group progressives and allowed them some power.

The comparison of Hitler to Trump is a comparison of apples to oranges in the respect that it is the liberal-progressive movement that is going too far. Examples of this are seen in the extremes.

In Hitler's time negros were called negros and marriage was intended to build large families for the survival of the family. Life expecency was low say around 50 and conservativism was King.

The right wing of Europe in elite circles dreamt of uniting all of Europe as was done under Rome. Napoleon tried but was defeated. Now, Hitler rose to power in part because Europe punished Germany for world war 1. And left the country in ruins, so Hitler comes on the scene promising a better life for Germans and getting them out of poverty.

But Hitler took from the people power and became drunk with blood. He massacred many Jews that when the war was over Jews left reminders of Hitler's rule such that the world will know of the atrocities he committed.

This is a far contrast of what Trump is doing. Following what Trump has done is that he freed America from the chains of regulations that caused our poverty. From Bush Sr. To Obama we suffered at the hands of terrorists and tyrantical leaders dictating our lives and the way we think. So from 1992 until 2016 we entered a change in social norms and economic norms. By the time Trump was elected, the condition of insolence grew.

Each day from 1992 until 2020 we experienced a change in communication the internet was born. But slowly we lost our freedoms to buercrats that stole our money and began to dictate how we think.

Trump destroyed all of that. Unlike Hitler Trump gave our freedom back to us. So this thesis has been destroyed.

Didn't see the documentary you referenced, so can't comment to its historical authenticity. But from watching other PBS specials, it is probably left bias, even if they used no incorrect facts.

While I agree with more than half of you wrote, there are some inaccuracies. The progressive movement started far earlier. Woodrow Wilson was an admitted progressive. The progressive movement started even earlier in Europe. The swing towards conservatism was in response to the progressive policies which were one contributing factor leading to WWII, both by the left in general and by the leadership in Germany before Hitler came to power. Of course the depression hit Germany even harder than the rest of Europe due to the extreme r********ns they were paying. But without the depression, their conditions may have been tolerable to the majority of Germans.

Socialism was on the rise throughout Europe including Germany. But Hitler saw Marxism as flawed Socialism and took to "perfect" Socialism to his ideal. The national socialists were still socialists, but were definitely not Marxists.


You also seem to use progressive and liberal interchangeably. They were and are two different but overlapping ideologies. Liberals tend to be idealistic but impractical. They often see simple solutions but not the long term consequences of implementing them. They also tend to try to convince others to what they see as t***h. Progressive want to force others to accept their position. Force can be indoctrination of children, up to and including terrorism.

unlike documentaries, shows like Nova, which present science discoveries, are far less able to influence political or ideological views. This doesn't change the tendency of PBS to air left leaning documentaries. Historical documemtaries are very easily shaped to promote ideological viewpoints. On PBS, you are unlikely to see hardly any right wing documentaries.
