UNSHAKABLE PROMISE.
Ten Unshakable Promises by Roy Lessin

1. God has a purpose for your life
It is no accident that you are alive today. You are here by God's choosing. You were born at this time in History to fulfill His purpose for this generation. He has given you all the light you need to know His will, and He has given you all the grace you need to do His will. If you are committed to His will, there is nothing that can keep you from it.

2. God is in charge
God has not retreated somewhere in the universe and gone into hiding. He is today where He has always been - on His throne. There is no king or ruler that has more authority than God; there is no political figure that has more influence than God; there is no nation that has more control than God. No one can out-think Him or out-smart Him. He is God Almighty. If you have placed your life in His hands, He is in charge of your life and all you do.

3. God is sovereign
Nothing can stop His plan or frustrate His purposes. God is not worried about what will happen or what He will be able to do. Nothing takes Him by surprise. He sees the future and He is already there. He knows where He is leading your life and He knows how to get you there. If you follow Him, you will find that He makes no mistakes.

4. God's Word is dependable
All Scripture is God's written Word. It is 100% reliable because God is 100% infallible. The Scriptures have endured the test of time. Men have tried to destroy them but they still remain. Men have tried to dispute them but they have had the final say in every argument. Men have tried to refute them but they stand over each man's grave as a living testimony to all that is true, righteous, and eternal. If you obey His Word you will never have regrets.

5. You belong to a Kingdom that cannot be shaken
Throughout history kings have been overthrown, leaders have fallen from power, kingdoms have been conquered, armies have been defeated, riches have been depleted, and fortresses have toppled over. It is only in the Kingdom of God that anyone can find true rest and security. No rebellion can break down its gates, no weapon can penetrate its borders, and no warrior can come against its King. The way of the Kingdom is where your feet can walk; the truth of the Kingdom is what your faith can embrace; the love of the Kingdom is what your heart can give away.

6. You are covered by the blood of Jesus Christ
When Jesus came, He came and shed His blood to save you, cleanse you, forgive you, and deliver you from the power of the devil. His blood has bought you, and the enemy has no claim upon your life. You are His and His alone. He is your Redeemer, and He has taken full responsibility for your life since the day you gave your heart to Him. Because of His blood, your future is secure, your inheritance is guaranteed, and your destiny is certain.

7. God has given you all that you need to serve Him
The grace of God covers you, the presence of God is in you, the angels of God are with you, the arms of God are around you, the gifts of God are for you, and the power of God is upon you. He has not abandoned you or left you in this world as an orphan, alone and forsaken. God is for you, the Holy Spirit is in you, Jesus is with you, and all the heavenly hosts are on your side.

8. Jesus Christ is coming back
The outcome of all things has already been determined. Jesus is the winner. He is without rival in the universe. No evil, no outlaw, no terrorist or anarchist will be standing in the end. Every enemy of God will be defeated, every false prophet will be exposed, every evil spirit will be chained, and every accusing tongue will be silenced. The final chapter in the Book of Life has already been written, and there will be no need for rewrites or revisions. All that remains is for its writings to be fulfilled. One day soon, you will forever be with the Lord.

9. God loves you and will not fail you
You are God's child and He is your Father. He loves and cares for you more than you will ever know. All that He is, He is for you. The depth of His love for you cannot be measured, and its height cannot be scaled. He wants you to trust Him completely because He will not fail you. When you go through trials, He will keep you from defeat, and when you face temptations He will keep you from shame. When the enemy comes in like a flood, He will raise up a standard against Him.

10. Jesus Christ will never let you go
He is with you always. No one can pluck you out of His hand, so you need not fear any evil. He is daily praying for you, and His prayers are being answered. He is preparing a place for you in His Father's house, and He will come for you. If you ever question His love for you, just look at His hands. Jesus will never ask you to do something without His grace. In the dark times He will be your light. In troubled times He will be your security. In uncertain times He will be your guidance. In fearful times He will be your peace. You will never face a day without Him; you will never take a step without His presence walking beside you; you will never face a need without His supply; you will never face a circumstance that He can't bring you through.

Thank you for posting these eternal truths, Armageddun,

Every Christian never tires of hearing them, and in this time of ever changing world realities, we are refreshed by the inability of anyone to change the God who makes us stand.

Every seeker needs to understand the awesome attributes of He whom they seek, for He is their one and only hope, and there is not now nor will there ever be another!

If there is a hoax in the Bible it wasn't put there by God, but by a translater. We either go through it or avoid it.

Arguing about it solves nothing. Whatever will be, will be. Correct me, if I'm wrong.

We're to close too close to going home to fight about it, unless that's your goal.

Pre-trib, mid-trib, post-trib add up to we escape the last 7, or 3.5, or 0 years. My advice is worry about your relationship with Christ now. If you miss that, the rest doesn't really matter, it'll be too late whenever it occurs.

If Jesus is the groom and we are the bride, I'm sure He wants to come get us now. But the Father hasn't let that happen and only He knows the proper time. Trust God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit to get it right. Regardless of what we believe about one point. It doesn't change the requirements to be saved or eternal life. Don't sweat the small stuff. We'll never solve all the mysteries of the Bible or uncover all the hidden gems and treasures it contains. Exactly when the tribulation happens changes nothing concerning salvation or eternity. Just my thoughts about this subject. It's divisive and divides believers. So is it worth arguing about? Only you can decide that for yourself.

Thank you for your kind thoughts, Peewee.

When the time comes that I am no longer frequenting this exhilarating site, I will be celebrating my eternal home, where, for the first time in any move I have ever experienced, the interior decorating will be complete and perfect, moving in will require no effort on my part, and the Creator of the Universe, my Lord and Savior will greet me face to face!

Excellent summary of Biblical truth, Peewee!

We must be visiting different OPP sites, LOL. Most of the time I'm just frustrated and angry. I do a lot of deleting. Probably not enough. It takes up too much of my time, but I'm hooked. I probably should walk away, but I can't stand losing. Anyway, I hope we're neighbors when we get home. Hope I don't lower your mansion's property value (kidding). Bet your's is full of books. No telling what mine will be full of, critters and children, I hope. I love both.

O.K., now I'm mildly curious. What have you lost?

Being "frustrated and angry" is a choice, isn't it, Peewee?

How can walking into or walking away from OPP be considered losing?

No one can rob you of your beliefs, your values or your Salvation.

How do you determine on any given day or after engaging in any particular thread that you have "lost"???

Let everything antagonistic that is said here roll off you like water off a duck's back.

In God's heaven, I'll have no need of books.

I'll be in the presence of the repository of all knowledge about all subjects.

80% of my present library is classified as Apologetics, so it would be superfluous.

Everyone will be a fellow Believer in the Triune God, His Word and His Gospel, so whom would I evangelize?

I believe distance will not be a factor; perhaps everyone will receive an updated version of a Jetsons-style flying car of 1962-1963. (See below.)

I haven't lost anything, yet. I'm not worried about stuff but people I love and care about. I lose my temper by choice, I guess, but it feels more like I'm being provoked.

My values, beliefs, and salvation are fine. I don't have any fear for myself but I do hope I go quickly when my time does come.

I've protected people most of my life and it's kind of ingrained in me now. Just because I've retired doesn't change that. I don't think there was an expiration date on my oath, just on my enlistment.

I've always been good at predicting trouble before I became a prison guard. I'm even better now. I know when it's just trash talk and when things are about to explode. None of that is about to happen on OPP. But seeds are being planted.

I've have never been able to love everyone. I love everyone until they tick me off. But I hope I made Him smile when I've defended the weak.

We're not all made the same way, sometimes violent men and women are required to insure peace and justice do prevail. I'm one of those. I always ask for forgiveness after I hurt someone. And I always know when talking has failed to achieve the desired effect.

I know my role model is Jesus but He could disappear in a crowd, walk through walls, walk on water, cast out demons, reattach ears, and rise the dead. I'm not Jesus. I've only rebuked a demon once and it left. So I think I have His favor. Maybe it was just for that moment. But I still feel His presence a few times a month.

Most of the time, I can just walk away and sometimes I can't. Depends on the situation. I've slowed down a lot because I'm older. Not because I wanted to. My doc made me mad just the other day. I wanted a box or syringes and she ordered epi-pens. I was very clear I wanted a box of syringes.
