Stupid joke that can be understood as r****t. Sarah Palin is the worst politician to come along in a while. She is barely coherent, and knows nothing about foreign relations. Michelle Obama is a real asset to the President.

A little girl wrote to Sarah Palin asking, "How did the human race start?". Sarah Palin answered, "God made Adam and Eve, they had children and all mankind was made."
The next day the little girl wrote to michelle obama and asked the same question. Michelle obama answered, "Many years ago there were monkeys in africa from which the human race evolved."
The confused girl went to her father and asked, "How come Sarah Palin told me that mankind was created by God, and michelle obama told me mankind evolved from monkeys?"
Her father answeres, "Well, it's very simple . . . Sarah Palin told you about her ancestors, and michelle obama told you about hers!"

Yeah! Sarah can kick Obuma's ass any day of the week. Look at the world today. Your mind is completely twisted. Obuma has fractured the world and you got tits to say Sarah is dumber than the black ass bum you are in love with. Spathic puke!!!!!!

Seems to be a lot more vicious invective these days it is very sad. People like Barry Goldwater and Hubert Humphrey could disagree deeply without resorting to moronic insult. There is a saying in economics,"Bad money drives good money out of circulation" . it is certainly applicable to popular culture. Turn on a pop music station and what do you hear? Not music, but some moronic chanting that doesn't quite rhyme. Seems to apply to political discourse too, at least in the Internet.
To give the devil his due, i think Obama at least tries to speak like a reasonable man, but the repubs seem to be unwilling or unable to reason with him. That is probably what bothers me the most about them. I don't agree with obama all that often. But why can't they say "we think the President's proposal is misguided, for this logical reason", and then give the reason. Why can't they say, "we think doing X would work better, for this reason" and then give a reasonable alternative? The closest thing to an alternative i hear amounts to "back to the 1880's"!

But I agree with you that such jokes are vulgar and in bad taste and should be left to l*****t hacks, like Jon Stewart, who get paid to be vulgar and repugnant.
How about giving a speech to a bunch of m*****a that want to cecede from the United States? The woman is a lunatic!!

What sociopolitical problems do you have with the 1880's?
Given: There are technological advances that need to be addressed.

Maybe if the president stopped taking shots at the Republicans at every turn---he just mite get help, altho i think this is the way he wants it-----like ignoring them and the result was a bunch of lies and a health plan with only Democrat hands on it that is about the biggest flop ever!!!!!

Greg Sargent notes an interesting result from CNN's latest Obamacare survey, which found that while 54 percent of Americans believe Obamacare has helped their family or other families across the country ...
... an astonishing 72 percent of Republicans, and 64 percent of conservatives, say the law hasnt helped anyone.
Given the drop in uninsurance rates alone, that's just delusional. But I'll cut those Republicans a wee little bit of slack, or at least I'll cut them slack if they live in a state that refused to fully implement Obamacare, because, as you can see in this chart...
... the key to really making Obamacare work is to actually implement it, including its Medicaid expansion. States controlled by Republicans who think Obamacare sucks generally refused to expand Medicaid. And in those states, Obamacare has not been as big a success as it has in other states.
But the key thing to remember is that the reason it hasn't helped as many people in those states as it has in other states isn't that Obamacare sucks: It's thatthanks to the Supreme Courtmany Republicans refuse to implement it.
PLEASE! Give it a rest!
I think we can agree that the original Sarah vs Michelle post was in enormously bad taste. The rest of this thread has been a dreary waste of internet time without a single specific political issue being brought up.
I had high hopes for One Political Plaza as an open discussion of important issues. But since everyone who shows up has a bucket of rotten tomatoes, I find nothing redeeming about the shower of stinking ketchup that results.
I'm opting out...as you were everyone.

Isn't Mass. where the precursor to ACA was implemented.
