Exactly. Respect. That's what should go through your mind when a police officer stops you. Show him/her respect, do what he/she asks of you, and you will be on your way a lot faster than if you act otherwise.

If you were speeding ....you were speeding. If you are old enough to drive you should be smart enough to know you can get stopped if you speed! Just stay in the car. Keep your hands on the wheel. Be HONEST and respectful and remember you are not smarter than the guy who's job it is to ticket you if you speed! You sound like a JERK! I'd give you a ticket just for your attitude!
My husband is a black man. We both have been pulled over for speeding. I got a ticket, (deserved it). He deserved a ticket too, but he got a warning! We were both respectful.....but I think that's R****T.....don't you?? Bet I got a ticket just because I'm white!! Course, both cops were white too, so who knows! Nobody ever had one thought about "this is how I'll die!"

Even if I had committed murder and was arrested I would not behave in a manner to get shot, unless I wanted suicide by cops, like so many murderers do.
