Ahhh, I respectfully disagree with you. My parents had free will in creating me. Adam, he was created without sin, so not needing free will. God, to me, is full of compassion and love, not a dictator. He sent Jesus to die for our sins, but even so doing, gave us free will to accept redemption -- or not. Free will, to me, means that I remember to honor God by making wise choices that reflect back his Love. As for being rich? It is a matter of perspective. I AM rich and blessed in so many ways. I say a prayer each day of thanks for the blessings, both small and large that have been bestowed on me. I kinda like my version of free will.
Have a blessed day, filled with the Grace of God.

I don't know who told you that but it is not true. Where was your free will when you were born into this world. Were you sitting in the womb and using your free will to think maybe I will come out and maybe I won't. Did Adam use his free will when God was forming Him from the dust of the earth. Where was Lazarus free will when Jesus called him to come out of the tomb. You had nothing to do with being born into this world and you will have nothing to do with leaving this world when you die. We have choices in this world. Don't confuse that with free will. If you do have free will how come you are not rich and living in a mansion. Jesus said, in my fathers house are many mansions, if it were not true I would have told you. If God saves you then you will be living in a mansion. Jesus said in the garden not my will be done but Your will be done. Read The Bible in Proverbs 3 verse 5-6. I would rather have Gods will in my life than my own. All I do is screw everything up. That is why I need Salvation. God owns me, I don't need a free will.

I gently disagree with you, you speak of choices, think about what you said, "don't confuse choices with free will"
Adam did not have choices OR free will until AFTER he was created, one needs consciousness to make choices. An unborn child has neither total consciousness or ability to make choices. Lazarus, was dead no ability to make a choice only to do God's will.
Now I say this to you, freewill is a God given gift to make choices otherwise there would be no choices to make because we would All be mindless automatons, but God, in His wisdom, gave us the freewill to choose, His way or our own way it's a freewill CHOICE that each of us makes everyday. Unfortunately it would seem that the world at large chooses to abuse that freewill to choose things that are not the things God would choose. Do you see?
Many of us CHOOSE to use our freewill to submit ourselves to God's will. Our choice. :) :-)

I did...immediately upon your referencing it. The verses did not change my opinion. I did, however, see your point.

That is what free will is all about. Just as you have the free will/right to regard another's opinion as 'baloney', they have the free will/right to respectfully disagree. People disagree all the time.

Ms. Searching gave a very respectful response to your opinion, and you dismissed her's as 'baloney'. You are better than that, I believe, Robby.

I guess we have gone the limit with this. Lets agree to disagree and leave it at that.

I would bet he created the issue while caring for his dogs or tending his large garden.

We need to ask for help for Loki.

He has a preexisting back issue. He does not need more pain! :!:

Raise your voices.

I can understand totally. I've had very painful back issues for over 40 years, 3 surgeries down and another "big one" in the planning stages. Been on pain meds for the last 20 years in one form or another.

Loki, politics aside, you're in my prayers for relief and recovery. I wish you the best, man.

Take care,

alabuck

I always thought Adam had free will to rejects Eve's offering him of the "forbidden fruit." Also, Adam had no sin until his "free will" allowed him to eat that fruit. Then, Adam knew sin. Sin was in the world; just not the the Garden until the serpent showed-up and tempted Eve. Eve had the "free will" not to listen to the serpent, too. She, via her " free will," chose to listen to the serpent.

It all went down-hill from there.

They both had freewill, but it was the freewill "Coupled" with a bad choice in using it. We all have the freewill God gave us and choices to make in using it. There will be consequences or rewards for the choices we make in using that freewill. But thank God for His acceptance and forgiveness if we repent when we use against His Will.

In Romans chap 8 verse 20 God tells us that he knew Adam would sin and He let him.

Again, freewill, the Lord is not going to "force" you to do the right thing it's always our CHOICE. So broadly speaking, sin, is really a "mistake" one makes and if he is truly repentant of it, it is forgiven, bad choice. But if the sin(mistake) is willful and continually so, well then one may have a serious problem.
Our Lord knows full well we are going to screw it up at times, its how we deal with it when we do, that's what makes the difference.
