That would be quite a few years ago. From her testimony before various subcommittees during her hubby's reign, I'm guessing that he'd given her "The Big S" long enough before then for her to have full-blown tertiary brain involvement. It would account for the lapses in memory that made up the bulk of that testimony then. (And a good parody song or two.) And her more recent testimony. (Which caused at least one of the songs to get dusted off and replayed.) So, she probably got it while they were courting or just after they married. Chancres are generally painless and, given female anatomy, she probably never knew she had it. Chelsea would have been conceived and gestated during the secondary (quiescent) phase, which would mean that she probably wasn't infected.

I didn't but I think she did. It was quoted precisely and is a great example of political double-talk. What's even sadder is that the interviewer let her get away with it.
