She may not be aware of it, but she could have hypothyroidism or underactive thyroid gland. I know because I have that condition myself. It affects 15 times more women than men and more people of color than white people. I couldn't lose weight, either, until I was diagnosed with the condition and was placed on thyroid hormone replacement therapy. This condition also worsens with age.

I know about it. Reading medical books is a hobby. It's possible, I don't think probable because I remember seeing Oprah when she lost a lot of weight. I know later years.

What does this reply have to do with Police work? I may be dumb, but I don't see the connection.

Not Police work, the meme earlier and why Oprah is obese.

I think her Doctors probably checked her thyroid! That’s always checked before any Doctor treats a person for a weight problem. Actually, it’s always included in a Wellness checkup, at least it has been for me.

My wife has Graves disease. She had a procedure to destroy her thyroid and takes a thyroid replacement hormone therapy. If her medication is too low she has no energy and gains weight just watching a cooking show. If her medication level is too high she has energy and loses weight easier, but it can damage her heart. She was undiagnosed for years until her optometrist spotted something with her eyes. Looking back at photographs, it's easy to see now that we knew what to look for. Just keep an eye on your thyroid levels.
