Fatherless Homes Big Danger

Fatherless homes – combined with the left’s policies and attacks on free speech – are creating thugs and cop k**lers.

The murder of 23-year-old Jersey City Police Officer Melvin Santiago and the death of 43-year-old Eric Garner, who died while resisting arrest by NYPD officers, have put the national spotlight on police and black relations.

The cop k**ler’s wife inflamed the situation by saying that her black thug husband – who was shot and k**led after executing officer Santiago – should have shot more cops. News 12 New Jersey reporter Sean Bergin explained on camera the decision to air her comments:

“It’s important to shine a light on this anti-cop mentality that has so contaminated America’s inner cities. … The underlying cause of all this of course? Young black men growing up without fathers. …” The reporter was suspended from his job, and subsequently quit.

Progressives of all colors have intimidated most w***e A******ns with the “R” word (r****t), and now w****s rarely comment on black criminality. These same progressives are perpetuating the fatherlessness and anti-police attitude that is wreaking havoc on America’s inner cities.

Many b****s today have a serious issue with authority figures. This problem starts in the home and manifests itself as early as preschool.

A Department of Education study found that b****s make up 18 percent of all preschool children, but they account for 42 percent of suspensions.

Education Secretary Arne Duncan blamed the problem on “racial disparities,” and was “stunned that we were suspending and expelling 4 years olds.” Duncan is more “stunned” by the disciplinary action of the schools than he is by the rotten behavior of the kids. No surprise. Rotten kids are anti-authority – so are progressives.

Attorney General Eric Holder said a “zero-tolerance” approach eventually leads many students into the criminal justice system and promised to end the “school-to-prison pipeline.” In other words, according to Holder, disciplining bad kids is creating a path to prison! This is progressive “wisdom.”

Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, the NAACP, the Congressional Black Caucus and other l*****t black “leaders” have been excusing black criminals and stoking hatred toward police for decades.

The 1992 Los Angeles r**ts, sparked by the police beating of Rodney King, resulted in the deaths of 60 people. But Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., didn’t call it a r**t; she called it a “r*******n.”

The rap music industry has long promoted violence toward cops. The most notorious perpetrators include: N.W.A. (N***az with Attitudes) with their “F— tha Police” lyrics, rapper ICE-T’s “Cop K**ler” album, and Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg’s “187″ (about murdering cops). Video games like “Grand Theft Auto” also reinforce anti-police attitudes.

Progressive mayors are allowing thugs and cop h**ers to flourish in our cities.

L*****t NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio ended previous Mayor Rudy Giuliani’s successful “stop, question, and frisk” program after complaints that it unfairly targeted minorities, and now violent crime has skyrocketed.

According to CompStat figures, 129 people were shot last month – a 43 percent increase over the same period last year.

In “Chicagoland,” progressive policies and fatherlessness have created “k*****g fields.” The recent Independence Day massacre, where 82 shootings resulted in 15 people k**led, doesn’t help the city’s image.

Instead of aggressively going after Chicago’s gangs, Obama former Chief of Staff and now Mayor Rahm Emanuel is focused on the guns, even though Chicago has some of the nation’s toughest gun-control laws.

Progressives have created an environment that rewards irresponsibility and dependency. Sending welfare payments to single women with children has resulted in the decline of black marriages. Today, 73 percent of black kids are born out of wedlock.

Since most black fathers are not around, these children never develop respect for authority. In fact, they grow to h**e the impatience and pressure their mothers put on them.

Recently I interviewed Paul Raeburn, author of “Do Fathers Matter?” Here are just a few of his findings:

When fathers are absent during mother’s pregnancy, the baby is more likely to be born prematurely. The baby is four times as likely to die in the first year.

If the man is depressed, the child is eight times as likely to have behavior problems and 36 times as likely to have difficulty getting along with peers.

Kids with dads around are less likely to become “bullies”: Oxford researchers said when fathers were absent, children had higher rates of aggressive behavior.

Obviously the missing link to end the cycle of violence and the anti-police attitude in the black community is to rebuild black families. Progressive policies of providing financial incentives for single mothers who have kids out of wedlock must end.

Progressives also bully people into not speaking t***h about moral cause and effect. They’re not just immoral – they are “anti-moral.”

Yet, Americans – especially w***e A******ns – have to start speaking out about the anti-authority mindset destroying our inner cities. If w****s and b****s allow the lawlessness to continue, the chaos and anti-cop violence will spread everywhere. And when police are not safe – no one is safe.

As having been a single Dad(I use Dad here because it is my belief that almost any man can father a child, but it takes a man to be a Dad),to a daughter from toddler to adulthood, you got me thinking and I found this, it doesn't use race as a factor but it is still an interesting article/study. And I am not trying to take away from your post, I happen to agree with it.

SINGLE MOTHERS, FATHERS EQUALLY SUCCESSFUL AT RAISING CHILDREN

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- A new nationwide study refutes the theory that children in single-mother households are disadvantaged because they lack the presence of a father.

Researchers at Ohio State University compared a sample of 456 15- and 16-year-olds who lived in single-father households with 2,583 teens who lived in single-mother households. The results showed that the two groups were very similar in terms of deviance and behavior at school, relationships with others, and school performance once factors such as family income and parent education are accounted for.

The results suggest researchers should rethink the assumption that the sex of a parent plays a critical role in the development of children, said Douglas Downey, co-author of the study and assistant professor of sociology at Ohio State.

“It is well-known that there are a lot of problems associated with children who grow up in single-mother households,” Downey said. “But our results suggest the problems
aren’t mainly due to the lack of a father. We believe the problems rise more from the absence of a second parent in general, and the fact that single mothers are more likely to be disadvantaged in terms of income and other factors.”

The research was published this week in the Journal of Marriage and the Family. Downey conducted the study with James Ainsworth-Darnell and Mikaela Dufur, both graduate students in sociology at Ohio State.

The researchers used data from the 1990 wave of the National Education Longitudinal Study. Downey said they compared teens on a variety of measures that past researchers had suggested might be affected by whether the children lived in single-mother or single-father households. For example, some researchers have argued that fathers are generally the disciplinarians in families, so children in single-mother households may be more likely to have behavior problems.

In order to examine this question, the researchers used data from the NELS that asked teachers to evaluate children on a variety of behavior measures. The results showed that, if anything, children raised by single fathers were less well behaved in the classroom. Teachers judged youths raised by a single father as less successful at getting along with others and as putting forth less effort in class.

“The results contradict the assumption that fathers are more successful disciplinarians than mothers,” Downey said.

Another assumption has been related to the fact that men score higher on tests of quantitative sk**ls while women score higher on tests of verbal sk**ls. Given these facts, some researchers have argued that children who grow up in single-mother households won’t do as well in mathematics, while those growing up in single-father households won’t do as well in English.

However, the results of this study showed no such difference. “We found that single-mother households didn’t promote verbal sk**ls over quantitative sk**ls, and single-father households didn’t promote quantitative sk**ls over verbal sk**ls,” Downey said. “These findings are inconsistent with the claim that women and men facilitate unique capabilities in their children.”

The biggest differences between single mothers and single fathers had to do with various background characteristics such as income, education and occupational prestige. “For nearly every demographic and background characteristic that we measured, single mothers were disadvantaged compared with single fathers,” Downey said.

This suggests that children living with single mothers would be more successful if the mothers were better off financially. “Parents with higher socioeconomic status are usually better positioned to create positive family environments,” Downey said.

Some researchers have claimed that the effects of living in a single-mother or single-father household won’t show up until adulthood, Downey said. To test this claim, the researchers examined data from the General Social Surveys collected by the National Opinion Research Center. They examined 4,400 adults who reported having lived with a single parent at age 16 (750 lived with a single father and 3,650 lived with a single mother). They looked again at a variety of measures, including years of education, family income and overall happiness.

“Again, the overwhelming pattern was one of little difference between those who grew up in single-mother households compared to those who grew up in single-father households,” Downey said.

Downey said family researchers need to distinguish between family characteristics that affect children’s development and those characteristics that do not.

“People have assumed that the sex of the parent has a major effect on children’s development, but we found that isn’t the case,” he said. “Researchers need to focus on other factors, such as family resources, which seem to have a real impact.”

who was responsible for the demise of the b***k a******n family? you must agree that b****s in this country's 'jim crow' era had to bind together and closely to survive this era. i would think that the black family in this era was as family orientated as 'the waltons' were. so how did all this disintergrate into what we have now. it was done by decisions made with all heart but no brains by LBJ with social programs with intent to lift up the black population. the worst was 'welfare', intended to give back to the b****s...but it had one major flaw...for some mysterious reason, welfare could afford everything...except the father. why that happened?...who knows.
