My, my, my. A respectful disagreement. You may not be a liberal, at least like those on OPP.

I do disagree with your assertions. There has been at least one study, that has shown that when corrected for likelihood of involvement in crime, the police are less likely to draw and shoot when a black suspect is involved.

When I was growing up in the heart of Manhattan in the 1950s, we were afraid to even go through Harlem on a bus. Some were hesitant to even mention that it was Harlem. go through

Malcolm X observed the higher crime rates in the ghetto and chastised his followers for it. Up to the 1940s Harlem was an entertainment center in NYC. All the big acts played there, in the various clubs, the Cotton Club being the most famous. There wasn't much bigger than Duke Ellingon, Count Basie, Billie Eckstine, Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, The Ink Spots. etc. THe blackareas lost that because of crime.
