Today while the death rate and number of cases of covid19 reach new highs with little or no chance of being lowered, Donald Trump was off playing golf, while the First Lady was thinking about fixing up the rose garden. This is the American version of Marie Antoinettes callus remark, " let them eat cake".
In this country we don't chop off the head of a terrible leader, we either impeach them and throw them out of office, or elect a better leader. That time is coming.
I am reading Mary Trump's book about how the Trump family created Donald. As you know she is Donald's niece, and has a Phd in clinical psychology. She knows Donald intimately her entire life, and calls him a sociopath, and a person that was emotionally crippled by his father. I think everybody that intends to vote in November should read it, whether you intend to vote for Trump or Biden.

And, pray tell, what illustrious illuminary are YOU going to vote for? Surely not that doddering idiot hiding in his basement and doesn't have even one good cajone to debate Trump?

What do you think Trump should be doing? He's not a doctor, so he can't treat any sick people. He's not a scientist, so he can't do any research. He's not getting paid. Is he not allowed to play a game of golf?

What is Melania supposed to be doing? She's not a doctor or scientist, either.

It's Saturday - lighten up. People play golf on the weekends...even presidents.

I am going to vote for Biden. I have read that some people are advising Biden not to debate Trump. The reasoning is that Trump has no respect for the truth, and will lie his head off. It is actually true that Trump is a terrible liar. This is one of the ten signs of a sociopath, which is what I have said before on OPP.
I certainly would advise Biden to debate Trump, but only if there was a fact checker or two on hand, to expose any deliberate lies from either Biden and/or Trump. Trump has lied over twenty thousand times according to the New York Times fact checkers. Please don't call the Times false news. That paper has won more Pulitzer Prizes for outstanding journalism than any other newspaper in America.

You obviously have another idea of what you THINK the President SHOULD be doing to help the Covid-virus crisis on a Saturday? Should Melania be sewing cloth masks to sell on Etsy to help the cause?

Seems you are enjoying Mary Trump's book on her uncle! I do not plan to read it so would you please answer a question that has been troubling me? I have heard it mentioned that one of her claims is that DJT paid someone else to take his SAT for him prior to entering Penn U. Since Mary is 19 years younger than Donald, she likely would have been an infant at that time, how did acquire this intimate knowledge of his school years? Or perhaps it was just family 2nd-3rd hand gossip?

I question how close or "intimate" her relationship with her uncle was while she was growing up? Young men in a hurry in college and business rarely have much time to devote to much younger nieces or nephews. When I was growing up the only uncle that I had that wasn't already an adult was about 18 years older than I, a similar time-difference and about the same era. I saw him at Christmas Dinner, perhaps a family funeral and almost NEVER carried on more than a 15-minute conversation! Does make me wonder about Mary's relationship with her 19-year older uncle??

I once studied psychology in college, I am not a PHD, but it was widely known in those academic circles that quite a lot of psychology majors purposely entered that field due to their own known mental issues in the hopes of understanding themselves better, just saying!

You want to talk lack of caring and empathy...your Marxist deity (Obama) set the bar ground level low.

Yes...but their latest publisher prize was for a story that wasn't true. How do you explain that?

Many of us were aware of Donald's mental illness long before he ran for office. We even tried to warn people, offering donald's own words and deeds as proof, but for many other folks, they were deaf. The trumpites who accuse everyone not supporting donald as anti American and trying to destroy the country, are telegraphing their own crimes, because those who do support donald are actively trying to destroy our country.

Emily, Trump is supposed to be working on a plan to fight covid19. He has said that the high number of tests is what is causing the high number of cases. That is a total lie, and he knows it. When he was running for the Presidency, he criticized Obama for playing too much golf. He pledged that he would play far less than the former President. It seems to me that Melania could better spend her time warning Americans to wear masks, practice social distancing, maintaining proper hygiene, and staying home when possible. Who knows, she may even save a few lives. The truth is that he has played far, far more golf than Obama. He doesn't start his day until 11:00Am. This is a small part of the truth that Trump doesn't care about the over a hundred and fifty thousand plus Americans that have died so far. His only concern is getting reelected to satisfy his monstrous ego.

I studied psychology in college and grad school. I worked with seriously disturbed high school students as a special education teacher in Maryland. It is not hard to see that Trump is a terrible narcissist, and/or a sociopath. Narcissism is one of the ten characteristics of a sociopath. Mary Trump knew Trump well. She certainly did listen to family stories about her uncle. These stories were all right. I knew about my family, and I learned about some family members through other members of the family. These stories turned out to be true with few exceptions. With Trump the stories are all backed up by his immoral behavior. You don't have to be a Phd to realize that Trump has real serious emotional problems due to his behavior in office, his personal behavior, and his complete uncaring attitude about others.
I suggest that you read the book for yourself, then make up your own mind. If you don't have the worst case of cognitive dissidence in history, you will at the very least see the very real and dangerous nature of Donald Trump.

I thought it was anarchists, like Antifa, and Marxists like BLM were the ones actively destroying our country...silly me
