...despite the fact that he regularly refused to wear masks. He also said that if he ever contracted the v***s he would always wear a mask, pretty much affirming the fact that he does not always wear a mask in public.
Rep. Louie Gohmert, a Texas Republican, suggested he contracted the c****av***s because he wore a face mask, despite the fact that he's refused to wear a mask while not social distancing from others around the Capitol.
"When I have a mask on, I'm moving it to make it comfortable, and I can't help but wonder if that put some germs in the mask," Gohmert said in a video he posted on social media announcing his positive test results.
Gohmert was regularly seen not wearing a mask or social distancing from staffers and colleagues while on the House floor and in and around the Capitol. He tested positive for the v***s at the White House on Wednesday.
Overwhelming scientific evidence has shown that face masks significantly reduce the chance of a person spreading or being infected by the c****av***s. Dr. Anthony F***i and other public-health and infectious-disease experts have repeatedly stressed that all Americans should wear masks when they cannot social distance and when they're in indoor places outside the home.

His lame attempt actually bolstered the argument for wearing masks. If what he claims was true, his mask was contaminated by the v***s...............................stopping it from entering his respiratory tract. Infecting himself was due to not paying attention to proper mask protocols.
