"90 people in the state of Connecticut were found to actually have been negative for c****av***s after receiving positive tests, MSN reported on Tuesday.

The state's Department of Public Health said that its state laboratory found a "flaw" in one of its testing systems and that 90 of 144 people who were tested for the v***s between June 15 and June 17 received false positive tests. 161 specimens were collected and a total of 91 of those showed false positives.

Many of those who received the false tests were nursing home residents.

The state said that it reported the flaw to the test manufacturer and the FDA. It has taken "immediate steps" to make sure patients have been notified - hopefully more than just forwarding them a copy of this article.

Even more alarming, the State Department of Health said the flawed numbers came “from a widely-used laboratory testing platform that the state laboratory started using on June 15.”

Acting Commissioner Deidre S. Gifford said: “We have notified the healthcare facilities for everyone who received a false positive test result from our state laboratory. Accurate and timely testing for the novel c****av***s is one of the pillars supporting effective response to the C****-** p******c.”

Adjustments have been made to ensure the accuracy of future tests, she said. Additionally, she said all positive tests will be further reviewed by "multiple laboratory scientists" and retested using another method.

We wonder how many other states are administering tests from the same "widely-used" platform..."

Remember the over inflated counts of the C****av***s victims in Florida recently? And now these test kits are giving positive results to increase the C***d19 infection.

These two things I assume have similar motives to inflating the results of contagion of the C****av***s. The purpose is to blame the governors and the president of their actions of allowing back to normal behavior of the people. Do you think these defective test kits are another political schemes by the socialist dems? It looks like a political s**m of the socialist dems. Amazing!

Lpnmajor - FYI the title to the post is "Is This The Reason CV-19 "Positive" Cases Are Spiking". Why is it that when you do not have a good answer to explain the grossly false and erroneously reporting on the number of "False Positive" cases, you change the subject to ICU beds, or use your favorite cliche "pseudo science". What do you say about the more than 300 Florida labs that reported 100% positive test results. Do you think this was a simple mistake by 300+ labs, or is there a more sinister agenda going on here?

My response to you is similar to Lpnmajor. You can't or don't want to address the subject of the post, so you change the subject. You want to raise the subject of high ICU capacity in Florida, write a separate post asking the question.

However, since you raised the issue, I will furnish you with what the Florida governor had to say on the issue.

"DeSantis offered several explanations for the numbers, all in support of his statement that the state has sufficient ICU capacity.

“The bigger picture item is this morning’s census is that statewide 24 percent of the hospital beds in the state of Florida are empty, that’s over 14,000 hospital beds and about 20 percent of the ICU beds are empty and that’s over 1,000 ICU beds,” DeSantis said during a press conference.

He added that the state has a lot of rural communities and hospitals that have zero ICU capacity under any circumstances. However, the total (54 hospital figure) from the state report was calculated among hospitals that specifically listed adult ICU capacity. Further, the governor explained that a number of hospitals are part of a larger system that could offer increased ICU bed capacity systemwide if needed."

don't believe many wards are filling up. Hospital Admint might claim so, I just wonder how many FALSE CLAIMS have been Filed? I will not worry about being wrong because I feel certain that Medicare and Medicaid will review every C***D claim filed for payment There is a lot of payback coming. Some will say how does he know this. I spent 35 years in hospitals and know a lot about how the billing game is played. Admin will pad any bill and find anyway they can to increase the billing. They generally start preparing for the annual govt. audit in Jan that will come between March thru August. This year is different because all elective surgery was put off so their normal income has been greatly reduced the same for clinics income stream greatly reduced. They have to get money from somewhere and the where is C***d.
