Studied any American history recently?
FYI, there are Bible verses etched in stone all over the Federal Buildings and Monuments in Washington, D.C.
According to U.S. Senate documents, every session of Congress has begun with a prayer by a chaplain, whose salary has been paid by the taxpayers since 1st established in 1789.
Fifty-two of the 55 founders of the Constitution were members of the established orthodox churches in the colonies!
According to research conducted by U.S.Constitution.net, here is the breakdown of the religion of the framers of the U.S. Constitution:
Congregationalist-7
Deist-1
Dutch Reformed-2
Episcopalian-26
Lutheran-1
Methodist-2
Presbyterian-11
Quaker-3
Roman Catholic-2

Your displeasure, Sicilian, with my referencing that I belong to the DAR is hilarious... as you began the subject of family history, and appeared to place great emphasis upon it,
- and, yes, although not the ACRONYM I would have chosen on your behalf, if you can document that your direct ancestor fought on behalf of the United States in their revolution against England, you are a "SAR," a Son of the American Revolution.
If, in your own words, you don't "care about that crap," why in the world do you burden yourself down with
"40 volumes of your family tree back to 1633."??
Although, I have family members who have traced my family ancestry back to the 10th century A.D., Sicilian, I, personally, would never bother, especially because the Holy Scriptures admonishes us not to waste time on it:
"As I urged you when I went into Macedonia, stay there in Ephesus so that you may
'Command certain people not to teach false doctrines any longer, or to dev**e themselves to myths and endless genealogies. Such things promote controversial speculations rather than advancing God's work - which is by faith.'" (1st Timothy 1:3-4)
One more thing, Israel is far from being a "desert craphole," as you put it.
Israel is more like a postage stamp size edition of the U.S. It has agricultural fertile valleys, snow topped mountains, prairies, hill country, ocean side beaches, rivers, forests and modern cities.
We can agree that we love this country and wish for it to retrieve it's former image as a beacon of personal freedom, and to survive as Ronald Reagan's "shining city on a hill."
Although tarnished by unscrupulous past leadership, when compared with the rest of the earth, this country is still mankind's "last best hope on earth."
"We shall nobly save, or meanly lose, the last best hope of earth. Other means may succeed; this could not fail. The way is plain, peaceful, generous, just — a way which, if followed, the world will forever applaud, and God must forever bless." - Abraham Lincoln.

The founders were absolute in their message about not interfering with foreign lands or entanglements.
YOU have been conditioned to accepting all this crap as part of your existence !!!
