The Japanese school in Beijing was assailed by a mob. It was orchestrated as a way for (some of) the people to take out their frustration, and to intimidate the Japanese in the process. Two objectives — accomplished.

That was ridiculous.... Lots of h**e crimes then... The first week our Japanese teachers were nervous... But happy to say not a single incident on our campus....
Although it was probably best they couldn't read Chinese (I hope)... A real estate company made a bunch of bumper stickers calling Japanese dogs and handed them out to taxi drivers with a free car wash... Awesome advertising strategy... But rather despicable....
