Obama " So far this year, Republicans in Congress have blocked every serious idea to strengthen the middle class.”

One problem. Its a LIE according to the Washington Post Fact Checker. Washington Post who is usually very pro Obama.

Obama is a Liar

Fact is that the GOP has only been blocking policies that will be harmful to this country. I have tried numerous times to get someone to debate me on the benefits/issues of one policy blocked by the Republicans and no one has taken me up on the offer.

Let's try a few that people have refused to debate:
Minimum wage hike - even the CBO says it will cost 500,000 jobs and history has shown that every minimum wage hike has resulted in increased hardship among the group that it is supposed to help
Tax hike (rich pay fair share) - Even Obama said this would be a bad idea in a bad economy and only the most addled would call this a good economy.
Fair Pay - This is already in the law and will only increase income for lawyers, not women or minorities and the Lilly Ledbetter act has already been shown to increase unemployment among those "protected" by it and the only benefit seen has ben to lawyers
Student loan reform - that was one of the first things the Democratic party did when they took over in 2009. Are you saying that was such complete failure that it needs to be redone 5 years later?

Ok, I threw out the first line in the debate. What do the progressives have to answer? Is the GOP obstructing progress or just obstructing us from driving off a cliff?

They can only parrot the Obstruction charge leveled by Dems. They have no additional information to debate the issue. I have 3 nephews all ages 25-35 who are Obamabots. Not one of them can debate me intelligently on any issue. All they do is parrot one liners from Jon Stewart.

Actually if you try to discuss anything of issues with anyone that's about mid 30's and under they can't hold a conversation !

I find it highly embarrassing for them and try to avoid all interaction if possible on the issues today....

I agree . In fact 35 and under. I have 3 nephews all 25-35. All they can do is parrot what they hear on Jon Stewart. Try and debate the issue deeper and they are lost. Then they get angry .
