I’m just reading about the black backlash ( I guess that’s what you’d call it) and I’m offended and “hurt” that anything named for Robert E. Lee must go because the black cadets getting a free education are offended. Robert E. Lee graduated from West Point with honors and NO DEMERITS. He was an exemplary Cadet. He was an exemplary officer. He owned no s***es. He was loyal to his own state, Virginia, in the Civil War, because it was NOT about s***ery. It was about the Constitutional right for each state to rule itself as long as it did NOT go against the Constitution.
Because he was the best of the best, Lincoln wanted him to head up the Union Army.
Because of his choice, he was denied everything...citizenship, his property, everything but his dignity was taken from him. Not only taken from him, but from his family. Without realizing what they were doing, they memorialized him by using his Plantation, Arlington, as the burial site for America’s bravest. Now a few b****s who had the “white “ privilege of going to that most honored Academy designed by the Polish General Kosciusko whose statue stands on West Point, call him t*****r and want Lee erased from West Point history, I guess he’ll have to go. He cannot be erased from our history because he was bigger than life. A giant among men, an honorable man whose memory stands above all Generals throughout Americas history. How far have we fallen?

He freed all his s***es upon inheritance. He was not a t*****r for the simple reason that the South had the right to secede. However, now only Texas has retained that right. A few years ago in Texas they were so worried about offending Mexican Americans and illegal Mexicans, they were planning to revise the history of the Alamo where so very many brave men and women died.
