What was Jesus thinking when he promoted a Samaritan over respected Jews; They hated them because of their beliefs were apostate

What was Jesus saying with this parable? It does not matter about their differing beliefs? That the heart is judged by its actions, not Beliefs? What was it? The Hebrews hated them. At that point in time, apostates like Samaritans faced death. But Christ raised him up as an example to his message. It would be like making a Muslim the hero.

Have you prayed and asked the Holy Spirit for guidance in this matter?

No need. Jesus made the answer clear with love of neighbor.

What did he say about only “loving” those who are like minded?

Not familiar with that notion. Please provide chapter and verse or your personal experience.

You have no need of the Holy Spirit? Do you understand the parable and the significance of a lawyer asking the question? Your analysis is superficial.

Samaritans were not apostates. They never believed in the first place.

False premise. Pay better attention.

So you don’t know because you don’t think you need the Holy Spirit for guidance.

Always with the easy insult. I know that only with waiting on the Holy Spirit can we righteously do anything.

Not an insult. The truth.
