Name them for patriots rather than t*****rs. A good starting point would be Benjamin O. Davis Jr. a decorated Tuskegee airman who became the first black General in the Air Force.

The names of the bases are much better known than the Generals. It would be confusing to the history of many military personnell to suddenly say they were trained at Fort Davis rather than Fort Bragg. Almost no one thinks of Braxton Bragg when fort Bragg is mentioned. I have known Braxton Bragg's name for over 50 years and never associated it with the fort until the current controversy. The protesters are just looking for the satisfaction that they shook up the system, and deserve to be denied.

How about “Fighting” Joe Wheeler. He was a cavalry General in the Confederacy, and retired a Major General in the U.s. Army and commanded troops in Cuba during the Spanish-American War, including the Rough Riders under Theodore Roosevelt and then in the Philippines. The only person to serve as a general officer in both the Confederate Army and then the United States Army after the Civil War. With that pedigree, he shoud have something named after him.

Bases have been renamed for all kinds of reasons, typically they go to distinguished generals and military leaders...and no, trump can't be looking for a Camp Trump

It's not that big a deal, it was a bigger deal for the marines to ban all confederate f**gs and symbols.

Camp Fraud would be the perfect name for a place named after you.

Name them for football stars. Seriously, I'd name them after CMH recipients who received their award posthumously.......................there's a LOT of them.

How about no re naming until the current Bull S**te dies down and then on a case by case basis, without publicity, examine the names and decide which one and to what names and in Congress with a 75% v**e necessary to rename any base. Same goes for all statues and monuments.
