I have been on the forum several years, Rumi has reminded all these years of an old story about a sweet old church lady who never gossiped or talked badly about anyone. One day the chairman of the deacons got fed up with her so-called perfection and decided that he was gonna stump the old saint.

He said to her, that devil sure is a bad, evil, lousy, no good person isn't he? She thought for a while and said, well, you have to admit, he is on the job every day.

Rumi has not given up on his subliminal remarks. Declaring a belief in the Bible as being the Word of God then turning around and questioning the reasoning is not IMHO an act of true faith. I have no right to judge but we are told to discern the spirits, that we shall know them by their fruits. I have yet to see him write anything about the Bible without casting doubt in some manner if it is believable or not.

He surely need our prayers.

I agree. There’s a difference between questioning and subverting and mocking. He does need our prayers and he gets some from me.

With what do you disagree, Rumi?

How about a bare bones analysis?

IMHO, many of your questions are merely window dressing, but the one question you can't skate on, but you must be able to answer is "In Whom is Your Faith Placed?

To Whom or What Do You Pray?

It is Not Good Enough to Simply "Have Faith in your Faith.

Romans 1:20 - "For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse."

Our Trinitarian God is revealed within the holy Bible as a Godhead consisting of three personages, yet One intelligent spiritual and personal Being, Creator, Redeemer, Preserver, and Sovereign Ruler of the universe. Our God is infinite in holiness, and with all perfection.

Being unable to wrap your head around that doesn't excuse you from accepting what God has revealed to us.

God is all powerful and all knowing; and His perfect knowledge extends to all things past, present, and future, including the future decisions of all humanity. To God we owe our steadfast worship, consisting of our highest love, reverence and obedience.

The eternal Godhead reveals Himself to us through Scripture as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, each with distinct personal attributes but without division of nature, essence or being.

God the Father, within the Trinitarian Godhead, has reigned over His universe, and His creatures throughout human history, according His divine purpose. He is all powerful, all knowing, all loving and all wise. God the Father is the Father of all who become the children of God through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone, yet His love extends toward all people, and it is His wish that no man should perish.

Genesis 1:1; 2:7; Exodus 3:14; 6:2-3; 15:11; 20:1; Leviticus 22:2; Deuteronomy 6:4; 32:6; 1st Chronicles 29:10; Psalm 19:1-3; Isaiah 43:3,15; 64:8; Jeremiah 10:10; 17:13; Matthew 6:9; 7:11; 23:9; 28:19; Mark 1:9-11; John 4:24; 5:26; 14:6-13; 17:1-8; Acts 1:7; Romans 8:14-15; 1st Corinthians 8:6; Galatians 4:6; Ephesians 4:6; Colossians 1:15; 1st Timothy 1:17; Hebrews 11:6; 12:9; 1st Peter 1:17; 1st John 5:7.

Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. In His incarnation, Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, becoming fully human and fully God. Jesus revealed and perfectly fulfilled the will of God, by becoming Himself fully man, yet living without sin.

He fulfilled the Law of God through His personal obedience by shedding His blood during His propitiatory death on the cross, He provided all men who would believe and accept through faith alone, redemption from sin, and justification before God the Father. Because Jesus paid in full the death penalty for all mankind, none of whom can do so on their own, we do not need to perish, but can be eternally saved, as we, by accepting in faith, become right in our relationship with God.

Jesus Christ, after three days, was raised from the dead with a glorified physical body and appeared to His disciples. He ascended bodily into heaven and is now exalted at the right hand of God the Father as our One Mediator, fully God, fully man, in whose own Person is full reconciliation between God and all humankind who will believe upon Him.

He will return in power and glory to destroy the AntiChrist and His armies, and to rule from the Throne of King David as King of Kings and Lord of Lords for 1,000 years, in fulfillment of God's promise to David, and to judge the lost at the Great White Throne judgment.

Genesis 18:1; Psalms 2:7; 110:1; Isaiah 7:14; 53; Matthew 1:18-23; 3:17; 8:29; 11:27; 14:33; 16:16,27; 17:5; 27; 28:1-6,19; Mark 1:1; 3:11; Luke 1:35; 4:41; 22:70; 24:46; John 1:1-18,29; 10:30,38; 11:25-27; 12:44-50; 14:7-11; 16:15-16,28; 17:1-5, 21-22; 20:1-20,28; Acts 1:9; 2:22-24; 7:55-56; 9:4-5,20; Romans 1:3-4; 3:23-26; 5:6-21; 8:1-3,34; 10:4; 1st Corinthians 1:30; 2:2; 8:6; 15:1-8,24-28; 2nd Corinthians 5:19-21; 8:9; Galatians 4:4-5; Ephesians 1:20; 3:11; 4:7-10; Philippians 2:5-11; Colossians 1:13-22; 2:9; 1st Thessalonians 4:14-18; 1st Timothy 2:5-6; 3:16; Titus 2:13-14; Hebrews 1:1-3; 4:14-15; 7:14-28; 9:12-15,24-28; 12:2; 13:8; 1st Peter 2:21-25; 3:22; 1st John 1:7-9; 3:2; 4:14-15; 5:9; 2nd John 7-9; Revelation 1:13-16; 5:9-14; 12:10-11; 13:8; 19:16.

The fully Divine Holy Spirit is co-equal to, and One with the Father and the Son within the Trinitarian Godhead. He inspired the Scriptures, as He received them from Jesus Christ, who is the Living Logos, and they were written down by the Old Testament Prophets and New Testament Apostles.

Through His personal indwelling and illumination, He enables each of us to understand scriptural t***h. He serves as personal teacher, comforter, counselor and guide. He exalts Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and never directs attention to Himself. He convicts men of their sin, of God's righteousness and of their future judgment. He convicts men of their need for their Savior, effecting their regeneration when they willingly receive the gift of God through faith, which is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Genesis 1:2; Judges 14:6; Job 26:13; Psalms 51:11; 139:7; Isaiah 61:1-3; Joel 2:28-32; Matthew 1:18; 3:16; 4:1; 12:28-32; 28:19; Mark 1:10,12; Luke 1:35; 4:1,18-19; 11:13; 12:12; 24:49; John 4:24; 14:16-17,26; 15:26; 16:7-14; Acts 1:8; 2:1-4,38; 4:31; 5:3; 6:3; 7:55; 8:17,39; 10:44; 13:2; 15:28; 16:6; 19:1-6; Romans 8:9-11,14-16,26-27; 1st Corinthians 2:10-14; 3:16; 12:3-11,13; Galatians 4:6; Ephesians 1:13-14; 4:30; 5:18; 1st Thessalonians 5:19; 1st Timothy 3:16; 4:1; 2nd Timothy 1:14; 3:16; Hebrews 9:8,14; 2nd Peter 1:21; 1st John 4:13; 5:6-7; Revelation 1:10; 22:17.

At the moment of regeneration when we believe, Jesus baptizes every believer into the Body of Christ with the Holy Spirit. Our Trinitarian God is revealed in Salvation. The Father draws us to Christ, as the Holy Spirit, convicts us of sin. The Lord Jesus Christ Himself redeems us, and The Holy Spirit indwells us. It's a compound effort, so to speak.

Because Trinitarianism is what is there, - what God has placed upon the plate, so to speak, why do you find it necessary to look for something else or something more?

Being obstinate to be provocative, even if it is meant to cause men to think for themselves, i.e., to carefully reason, at a point in time, becomes purely counter- productive when it is your own eternal soul that is at stake.

You don't owe me or anyone else on this forum a definitive response, as you well know, but God, you must deal with on His terms, and as He has told us:

"Without faith, it is impossible to please Him, for we must believe that He exists, and that He will reward those who diligently seek Him." (Hebrews 11:6)

You can either have faith in the God who is there, as He has revealed Himself to mankind, or you can play mumbley peg with your conscience for the rest of your life, which won't be very satisfactory to you in this life, and most definitely not in the next, because God isn't playing.

As usual, you claim to want an actual discussion, and yet when presented with the opportunity, you disappear! It’s apparently too difficult to actually respond to a rebuttal with questions asked.......I’m not referring to myself! The ball is in your court!
