Former White House doctor: Biden campaign won't allow cognitive test
A former White House physician who served both Barack Obama and President Trump says presumptive Democratic Party p**********l nominee Joe Biden "wouldn't do well" on a cognitive test, and that's why his campaign won't allow one.
"I'm not comfortable with him being my president," Dr. Ronny Jackson said in an interview with "The Kyle Olson Show."
"I think he’s got some cognitive issues."
Jackson explained he's not diagnosing Biden and has not examined him.
"But as a concerned American who also happens to be a physician, I’m just going to say it’s concerning to me that he sometimes is not able to complete a sentence, not really know where he’s at or what he’s doing and we’ve seen that countless times now," he said.
He pointed out Biden's regular confusion over his location, the office he's seeking – he recently said he was running for Senate – and the frequent brain freezes.
"I want my president, my commander-in-chief, my head of state to be a little bit sharper mentally than Joe Biden currently is. ... Maybe he would have been fine 10 years ago, but I legitimately think Joe Biden's window ... has closed.
"I think that he’s old enough now that he’s having cognitive difficulties and that just happens. It’s part of growing old," Jackson said.
Jackson was the White House doctor who in 2018 gave President Trump the Montreal Cognitive Assessment, which he passed with flying colors.
The physicians said the president didn't have anything to hide, and "I knew he was cognitively intact."
He told Olson that Biden's "crazy comments" warrant him taking the same test.
A head-to-head face off between Biden and the president wouldn't go well for Biden, Jackson said.
"There just wouldn’t be much of a comparison. It would be very one-sided."
He said the Biden campaign shouldn't line him up against the president on a debate stage.
"It will be an unmitigated disaster for their party," Jackson said.
There were many calls for an assessment of Trump early in his term. But now that Biden is the Democratic Party's choice, those calls have vanished.
"They will not let him be examined because it’s not going to be good for him," Jackson said of Biden.

The test given to Trump in 2018 by Dr. Ronny Jackson is called the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MOC). It is not a general test of a person's mental health or personality. The MOC is a simple paper-and-pencil one-page, 30-point questionnaire which takes 10 to 12 minutes to complete. It is given to detect mild cognitive impairment. Most healthy adults have no problem with this test and can easily ace it. Not such a great brag about the mental health of the President of the United States. Other doctors have a different opinion.
60,000 mental health professionals signed a petition crafted by influential psychotherapist, Dr. John Gartner, Ph.D., stating in part that "We...believe in our professional judgment that Donald Trump manifests a serious mental illness that renders him psychologically incapable of competently discharging the duties of the President of the United States."
I wouldn't bet on Trump beating Biden in a contest of mental or physical fitness today.
