This is a news article from the az central

A n Arizona state law passed in the months following the 2001 terrorist attack allows the state’s chief executive officer. ( Governor Doug Ducey)to order medical examinations and even isolate and quarantine people — all without court approval — if he decides to declare an emergency due to the any sort of v***s outbreak.

And he even could use police and the National Guard to enforce his orders.

The law was a direct response to the Sept. 11 attacks. It was designed to provide a comprehensive plan of what happens in case of a biological terrorist attack, beefing up existing law that give the governor powers in emergencies.

The wording, however, is much broader. It includes any illness, health condition or syndrome caused not only by bioterrorism but also any “epidemic or p******c disease.”

It starts with an enhanced surveillance advisory.

That triggers mandatory reporting by doctors and veterinarians of illness. But it even requires pharmacists to notify state officials if there is an “unusual increase” in prescriptions for antibiotics or even in over-the-counter drugs that might be purchased by someone with an illness.

Then there is tracking. That includes allowing the health department to access confidential patient records and to interview anyone.

And if the governor declares a state of emergency, ( which he has) state and local health officials have the power to quarantine anyone who has contracted the disease or who has been exposed.

The law does require the agencies to use the “least restrictive means” to sequester people to protect the public and prevent the spread of the disease. And it spells out that those who are quarantined, whether in their own homes or elsewhere, are to be provided adequate food, clothing, medical care “and a means of communicating with those in and outside these settings.”

But it does allow quarantine without a court order if health officials determine any delay would post “an immediate and serious threat to the public health.”

There is, however, a requirement to seek court approval within 10 days. And anyone who is quarantined can seek a court order, with some deadlines for court action.

A state of emergency also allows the governor to order to mandate medical examinations for anyone who has been exposed and ration medicine and v*****es. And, in the case of highly contagious and highly fatal diseases, the governor can mandate treatment or v******tion of those who are diagnosed with the illness “or who are reasonably believed to have been exposed or who may reasonably be expected to be exposed.”

And the law requires law enforcement and the National Guard to enforce both these requirements for treatment and v******tion and any orders for quarantine.

The statute does have a notable exception: It does not permit any form of quarantine or medical treatment for those with acquired immune deficiency syndrome or any other infection caused by the human immunodeficiency v***s, or HIV.

Ducey is clearly aware of what he told KTAR this past week are his “immense authorities” to act in

Not everyone serving in the 2002 Legislature thought the broad changes in law were a good idea.
House Majority Whip Robert Blendu, R-Litchfield Park, one of only 10 lawmakers to v**e against HB 2044, said the governor – Jane Hull at the time – already has broad emergency powers.

Over 130000 Americans have died, untold trillions spent, the Country is being lead by a someone some claim has an ego as tough as an egg shell and you question is where I live? Unlike you & other Trump lovers that live in the State of Denial, I live in a State led by a Republican Gov that doesn't kiss Trump's rump & didn't followed Trump's advice. Your love of trump has led you to your instability to recognise Trump's many failures. His lies and "leading from the gut" aren't examples of any kind of leadership, but of failure. Trump has gotten away with lying and c***ting his entire life, but now he is being thwarted and like a petulant child, he's frustrated. You should open your eyes before it's tio late.

So if you have the disease, you believe you should be walking around infecting others. Is this any different than if you have any other communicable disease?

It’s apparent that you are the frustrated ONE! You spend your waking hours on this forum as one or more of your aliases! You are totally obsessed with H**E! Too bad you don’t abide by your “love your neighbor”.........there is no room in your heart or mind with this much h**e! How in the world can you continually whine about Trump’s lies when you continually lie? Did you not scoff at your lies when caught twice? You are the F**e!!!! My eyes are OPEN to you and all your lies!

Oh stop. The difference is I'm not the president (no dah right). Where I live isn't important. I have lived in TX as well as other places. I'm not obsessed with h**e, but I dislike trump for hating & because he's a bully. I often think if Jeb Bush had punched him for insulting his wife (in the 1st debate back in 2016), things would be different now. We might have adult leadership in the white house instead of a h**eful vengeful man. I don't want where I live to be part of any discussion. It's not important to anything. I'm an American citizen, born in the city of brotherly love (I don't live there now). Both my parents were born in the US. You seem a religious person & I respect that. But let me ask you, in your heart of hearts, do you really really feel trump acts like a religious God fearing man acts? I don't, nothing he says or his actions of the past suggest he is anything but an atheist. He's a fraud and I say that not because I h**e him ( I don't), but because I recognize him as a lying c***t. If after everything is said & done, you say I still support him because he's the best, I respect your opinion. We are all entitled to our own opinion, no matter what. We just aren't entitled to our own facts. I hope I've never criticized you because of your opinions. The facts are trump has lied in the past & in the present & he will continue to lie in the future.

You’re right, where you live is not important! What is important is the fact that when you were faced to admit to lying you joked about it! Why would anyone respect the opinion of a liar criticizing someone else they accuse of lying?

How many times do we have to explain that whether he is a “God fearing man or not” is not our concern. His accomplishments of being our President is the only thing that most of us are concerned about. He is revealing a very dark, deep, evil, criminal, part of Washington that is doing everything in their power to stop him! You don’t see this because of your liberal ideology and your h**e of Trump and his supporters! His New York mouth and attitude doesn’t bother me half as much as Obama’s mealy-mouthed apologetic elitist mouth did!
