I watch the horse races-pretty much it, unless there is some dressage competition-last year there was a world championship dressage held in Georgia, I think. I watched every chance I got. Great sport.

Well thank you I learned a new term today. Dressage it appears as it is a horse show of some sorts I am not that familiar as to what it constitutes but are they judged on both the horse and the rider or the horse separately?

Both, actually. It is a riding sport where horse and rider perform a certain routine, from memory, making pre determined moves, in competition or shows. I never realized till I watched it on TV, that they also have a section where a horse canters around ring, and there are 5 or 6 people who perform acrobatics on the horse's back. Dressage has to be the highest form of horse training there is. Horse and rider move perfectly. As I said, with the group dressage, it is extremely impressive-the physical strength and timing it takes is breath taking. I think dressage is more popular in England and Europe than here, more's the pity, but it is a beautiful thing. As graceful as ballet or ice dancing, but with a horse and rider. I love the horse races, because it is a horse and jockey against a group of horses and jockeys-no protective equipment except for some chest guards for the jockeys and small hats-quick races, usually under 2 minutes, but fascinating.

Let’s see, now you poor snowflakes can’t watch the NBA NFL or NASCAR. I guess you will just need to stick to cross burnings for entertainment.

Only if you're on it.
