The plethora of "anonymous" sources quoted by left wing "journalists" of late is, in a word favored by Barack Obama, unprecedented.

You're wrong in your above explanation as to why sources "must remain anonymous."

The actual reason for this recent years upsurge in "anonymous" sources, all quoted by "liberal" "report"ers, is because for lack of any hard evidence to support the lies they tell, they have to pretend they didn't make things up.

Hence, "a little birdie told them that..."

That you can actually justify that kind of bulls**t being credited as "journalism" only serves to demonstrate that you are either completely ignorant of what journalism is intended to be or you're completely on board with the concept of lying to the public to "accomplish" political goals.

I tend to believe it's the latter case rather than the former -- having established your dedication to Marxist principles in any number of your posts, I doubt there's any ignorance involved -- you are simply spewing obfuscations and bald faced lies like any good C*******t would.

I once had a guy outside the NYU Washington Square campus try to hand me a C*******t newspaper, and we ended up debating.

Here is why the source is anonymous. Likely a mid-level career military person serving at the White House witnessed the president being informed that the Russians put a bounty on the heads of American servicemen. Realizing that the president had a moral obligation to act on this information and then seeing that he simply ignored it they realize something needed to be done. Normally they would go to the inspector general but they have seen how this president discharges anyone including inspector general‘s who are not loyal to him over the law and country. Shocked at this latest betrayal of our country their only choice to fulfill their duty is to anonymously turn to the press. We owe both the press and the leaker inside the White House a debt of gratitude.
