IN U.S.A. WE NEED ECONOMIC JUSTICE

The outlook for bargaining rights in the U.S. and our ability to improve our current standard of living it is hard as it's ever been. Today, only 6.6 percent of private sector workers have union representation. In 1948, nearly 35 percent of private sector workers had bargaining rights, it was just community organizing, and the National Labor Relations Act. that brought workers' rights to two generations of Americans. As early as 1940 U.S. Corporations starting running anti-union campaigns, workplace intimidation and harassment of union supporters. Now, in 2014, it's harder than ever for workers who want a union in their workplace to organize, and most Corporate management is determined to block progress for working people. Bargaining rights are key to a Democracy, to enable workers to have a voice and make economic gains, but in U.S. Corporate management exports our jobs and production facilities to poor nations where impoverished people are ruthlessly exploited to maximize profits.

I agree"We need economic justice in the USA." Primarily because the supreme court has declared corporations have the right to donate politically without limitation. Thus, they can legally buy the election. In the past they did it illegally.

The NLRB has not changed the rules. I was a prime mover in bringing a union to Pacific Telephone. From the conception until IBEW 2139 was recognized as the bargaining agent for the members.
So, I have first hand knowledge. It is no harder to organize now than in the past. The quality jobs have been exported.

Cheap labor usually Hispanic in the construction trades has ruined a very good income area.
Cheap labor because of treaties exporting the jobs.

Indians/Hindu answer most phone banks.

DUMB DOWN
AMERICA

The left’s philosophy is to dumb down America, some of our ancestor’s helped form our country’s new GOVERNMENT. Not with English, Scotch or German law, but an all new check and balance government. this is THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA not any other country (s) Some say they did not trust the people and their voting, they installed the electoral vote, true. But think about it, it gave all states a vote no mater how small or large their population is. With out the electoral vote states with the largest populations would dictate who our president will be, more than they do at this time.

Seems they were some what right, we turned into a country of our own wants, the more the government gives you the more you want from it, it's called buying your votes!

When you really think about it, stop and look at our country today? Do we really have a two party government, yes we have the Democrats and the Republicans, but are they different enough for a check and balance government? Or in reality have they becoming more and more alike?

A South Carolina high school principal’s decision to confiscate American flags from students’ vehicles on 9/11 has promoted meetings this week between school officials and outraged students.

A California high school which barred students from wearing American flag T-shirts on a Mexican holiday. The school has had a history of problems between Latino and white students on Cinco de Mayo. (“ this the same school that tried to stop a youth from displaying a US flag on his bicycle he road back and forth to school”) (“to the schools surprise one morning 500 American Legion Motorcycle Riders escorted the student to school”)

As the stars and stripes fly proudly all over America, many colleges are banning the American flag and other patriotic symbols deemed to be "offensive." Marquette, Lehigh, Arizona State, Central Michigan, and Texas A&M are among the campuses where flag controversies have erupted.

We need economic justice badly, but it has been seriously damaged by deliberately damaging the economy to put honest people out of work and boosting the huge class of moochers and parasites using the government to steal from workers - and buy votes.

Unions are a big part of the problem as well, with their ability to extort money from employers with laws and a vicious Labor department. When workers are given an opportunity to free themselves from unions, as in Wisconsin recently, they flee:

One of a unions biggest lies is that they can get you higher wages. Take a closer look, there are many factors which determine higher wages and union presence is NOT one of them. It's the industry (supply and demand), less government regulation, taxation, the economy, geography...Look at areas that are thriving now. Why are they paying higher wages in states like Wisconsin, Indiana and the Northeast? Why can't I get a job in South Dakota paying as much? Why aren't there unions in South Dakota demanding higher wages? As a Teamster I'd like to know what right they have to take my dues and support a party that doesn't reflect my views.
And then ask them why my company is packing up and moving to a right to work state and offering a comparable wage rate in the local economy without a union.

Although I agree unions accomplished many good things, it is not clear what else they want. Is it just the same as John L. Lewis's answer to that question ,"More?" The export of jobs will be opposed until there is some measire of of the price increases that would be necessary to enable domestic companies to pay union wages to produce all of the consumer products we demand. Moreover, we could have a trade war if we attempted keep the cheap imports out. Finally, unless all countries are willing to fair -trade these items we would lose out in international trade because our prices wouldn't be competitive.
