China's Not Messing Around, Conducts 90 Million C****-** Tests
GICexpat

China has ramped up its daily testing capabilities like never before, recording a whopping 200% increase from March to offer 3.78 million C****-** tests every day, Guo Yanhong, an official with the National Health Commission (NHC), reported on Wednesday.

As of Monday, June 22, Chinese medical institutions had conducted 90.41 million nucleic acid tests for C****-** in total. The total number of designated centers offering nucleic acid tests has increased from 2,081 in early March to the current 4,804, marking a 131-percent increase, Guo noted, adding that 28,500 technicians have been engaged in nucleic acid testing.

In order to improve their testing capacities in different regions around the country, the NHC initiated an online training program on June 15 to attract and prepare relevant professionals. A total of 360,000 people across the country had received this training by Wednesday noon, which is complemented by hands-on, practical training in provincial-level regions for those who have successfully completed their online courses.

Testing to help control an epidemic/p******c is only effective if:

Everyone in a defined area is tested simultaneously

No one is allowed to leave that area ( nor enter ), until all surrounding areas have been tested

Everyone testing positive is quarantined in STRICT isolation

No... This is the first time I've seen the official numbers for China... Unlike other nations it never bothered to report the numbers of tests it completed... I don't imagine it felt that information was overly important...

I'm not on OPP that much, so am behind. Is nucleic acid testing unique to China? Or are all the C***d tests nucleic acid tests?

They don't need to test the entire population....

Only the hotspots...

Restrictions and guidelines are very effective in containing a v***l outbreak...

Y'all should try it

Our people here in the USA are not quite as compliant as are the Chinese, somehow we always thought that was a good thing! Not so easily LEAD as in a C*******t country.

But lately, I have begun to think this is perhaps just early indoctrination into just such a system!

Japan, Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, are all democracies... And have all done better than the US or China...

It has much to do with culture, and with the willingness of the people to put the community first...

I often think that the West confuses independence with selfishness...

I think the South Koreans have no reason to doubt the news they get. Americans and Chinese do.
